  1. All I wanted was to grow up and make money so I could do the things I wanted to do. Now I work too much and I have responsibilities that don't let me do the things I want to do.

  2. I will be at Wayne not this weekend but next if you want to ride. (18th-20th) disclaimer: everyone that has ridden with us in the last two years has crashed and broke themselves or their rides. OR dirt crew bubby's are not responsible for broken parts and or bones. All riders are encouraged to ride at there own discretion and pace.

  4. Nothing is set in stone yet, but my son is anxious to get back down to the trails. Lots of variables on that weekend that im not sure about yet, like wife's schedule, how many kids I'll have, what days off work I'll get...to be continued

  5. Ditto, sympathies and good luck - I forgot to say that. And mojocho reminds me that it's even OK to interview for positions you may not actually want, just for the experience. If it's been a while since you hunted for a job, you will NOT find the first round easy, and that's OK - perfectly expected. Interviewing for the first time after years of steady employment is spooky and not completely unlike dating again after a divorce - both of which I am qualified to compare ;-). Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that all that detailed techie shit you have to stay current with takes practice and dedication, and so do the skills of evaluating next career steps, so do NOT get hard on yourself if you find any of this rocky at first. It very well could end up being one of the best changes in your life, and if you give tat a possibility, hell, even create that inevitability, this could end up a pretty rock'n development for you. I've had several moments in my career where that exact thing happened, so again, I'm not really talking out my rear here... ;-)

  6. Exactly. No severance, no way I'd stick around. Post up what types of positions you'd be interested in. It's amazing how many folks are on here. Might just be able to land a job.

  7. Sucks. I am only as loyal to a company as a company would be to me. Look elsewhere right away. If they ask you to stay until the end of the transition, demand a large lump sum payment (6-12 months pay) on top of reg pay.

  9. Angel GTs are the best balance I have found for grip and longevity. They have more than enough grip to drag knees. Mich PRs are also very good.

  10. Pirelli Angel ST or GT Michelin Pilot Road 3 or 4 they are sport touring tires, you'll get at least twice the milage out of them. and they grip just fine, a member here actually did a track day on a set of Angel GTs, never had an issue with them. i doubt your going to outride either of those tires.

  15. Never on the bike, but I had to put my G26 in a guy's face about five years ago. He saw me coming out of crack-Kroger with some beer and stated following me to my truck yelling "give me some fucking beer". As I opened my door, I discretely drew. He pulled open my door as I shut it and got a face full of Glock. Put his hands up and said "you have a good day, sir". No force used. I've had a few other instances where an aggressive panhandler saw my firearm and backed off, but nothing as close to shooting someone as this. This one was an attempted robbery any way you slice it.

  16. I did a quick and lazy pork butt the other day. Took it off the smoker too early but ended up being a blessing in disguise since I had to reheat the whole batch for a party Sunday. Turned out to be one of my better ones yet I also made ABT's. If you haven't had them you HAVE to make them. Sooooo good

  19. I have a decent sized gathering coming up next month, going to be doing some pulled pork, brisket and some ribs. Probably around 50 pounds of meat. I will be coming back through this thread for some possible fresh ideas!

  20. Really? Tell me what the "doskey" command does (without searching for the answer) and we can talk about who feels old...

  21. It sucks when you lose a pet, even if it is "just a fish". I lost my monster Dovii today. He was dead when I got home from work. He lived alone in a 210 gallon aquarium for about three years. Before that he lived with his wife until he got tired of her and killed her. They spawned many times. He would not allow any other fish to live with him. He was a wild caught dovii and I got him when he was a little over an inch long. I had him for close to six years. I weighed him today at 3 lbs 13 ounces and he measured 17.75" long.

  23. This here just adds to more reason to sell mine. Don't need my kids burying me just yet. Too many fucktard drivers in our area!
