  1. Welcome to the site Jim! It's a LOT of fun around here! Keep in mind that there's a HUGE amount of sarcasm, some political talk, LOT'S of firearm talk, and most of us aren't afraid to tell it how it is, especially when someone's being an idiot, and their attitude is likely to get them hurt. Overall, a great group here!

  2. The only thing, the Hon-duh wings on mine are silver (grey?) and gold, and the ones in that link are grey or silver tones. I'm not ready to tackle the refinishing project yet anyway, I've just been preparing for it.

  3. No problem. I don't like hearing good peeps getting the beatdown over facts! Thanks for the links!

  4. :nono: You are slacking prez... GLWS!
  5. Where are the pics from last weekend dood? I wanna see the shot of the bridge!

  6. I'll try to give you a call tomorrow. You could also call the shop and schedule it in. The number is 740-967-9525, and tell them that myself (Judd) or Chevysoldier (Josh) told you to call. We both work there.

  7. The 3.1 is actually just as reliable as the 3.8, in my opinion. I've seen very catastropnic failures from either one.

I'm not sure about the 12th. There's the fallen heroes memorial poker run up here (not as much fun, I'm sure, but for the cause) and I haven't mentioned anything to the wife, other than the following week I AM going on the CSBA/Brian Kinney ride.

  8. I like them. GM's been using them since... Well forever. The stroy I got is that it originated from the old buick V8 which Land Rover eventually bought the design of.

The main problem I've seen with them is leaky intake manifold gaskets, just as any of the GM's that have coolant going through the intake. I recommend changing the coolant, as the factory fill Dex-Cool is problematic, outside of a perfect world. I like the Peak branded Global extended life stuff.

I have seen a couple of those engine end up with oiling system failures, but it's not all that common. If it makes any significant rattling noises, don't mess with it.

  9. Is there anything being planned for OR's anniversary this year? I was a newb last year, so I didn't participate, but would like to this year!

  10. It's not looking like it. Have a sick kid, and my wife has to work tomorrow. Will see how the kids are tomorrow, and I would be caging it, IF I make it. I really want to though!

  11. Thanks for the heads up!

  12. Welcome 4000th member!

  13. I know how that goes. It's a very rare occasion that we have to do that though.

  14. We've converted several of them to regular struts, but I think they were all late 90's models.

I'm remember there being a system calibration procedure, I wonder if it has something to do with that? I'm thinking it would throw a light on, but no codes. At least it might be something to look into!

  15. There's some sort of time restriction on PM's, that goes away after a while. It's to help keep spammers out, from what I gather.

Thanks for taking a look into it! Those V4's sound so good, but you can barely hear them with the stock pipes!

  16. We're out in the Johnstown area, just east of town. It's called Countryside Auto. We do everything, even body work. Honda products are sort of a specialty, although we work on pretty much ANYTHING, from classic restorations, to engine swaps, turbo conversions, and on and on. There hasn't been much that we've turned away! Hit me a PM about what you need, and I can give you some ideas of what we can do for you!

  17. Yeah, I figured so, but you have to keep that in mind!

  18. Uh, did you forget that this is Ohio-riders when you posted uo that sig that refers to sheep?

  19. Oh yeah, I'll leave my "fan" at home!

  20. So, I'm a f'n 'tard and posted my reply to my own profile!

Shortly after. I get there at 9, and I have a guy coming out to help verify the problem with his F-550, that I haven't been able to duplicate in about 50 miles of driving it. Should be able to hit your alignment by 9:30, I would think (depends on how long it takes me to catch up on OR after I get there!) I'll try to get there a little early tomorrow. I only live about 2 miles down the road

Also, there is a road closure on 62, they'll send you to 605, then to 37, I say turn off 605 to walnut rd., or fancher rd, either one will take you back to 62, then into J-town.

  22. Around 9:00 until about 5 or so.

    Address:

    10500 Crouse-willison Rd.

    Johnstown, Ohio 43031

If ya get lost, call me from J-town, and I can talk ya there. It's really easy though, take 62, as you go east of town, take the first left OUTSIDE of town, then about 3.5 miles out on the right, called Countryside Auto. I'll keep the alignment rack freed up!

  23. Sure, should be no problem.
