  1. I have a 2003 Civic that I need to get rid of. It needs either a new engine or at least put back in time. It has 148k-ish. Pros- minimal rust, new suspension and brake parts up front, lower miles for the age, 5 spd. Cons- engine troubles, needs new tires, brake line blew when I got it stuck in the snow. Price is the tricky part. I still owe on it. My payoff is about 1100. If anyone is interested or know of someone who might be let me know. My number is 740-644-2301 call or text. Thanks!!
  2. Emergency Department. We see all the fun stuff that shows up.
  3. I work at Licking Memorial
  4. I figured as much. trying to find a starting point has been puzzling
  5. it shakes the whole vehicle violently. so start checking the suspension parts then? starting with the track bar?
  6. because I went the practical route and didn't want to get stuck anymore. that was the second time. also I only had 2500 to mess with. I would still love to get a srt4 caliber in the future as a summer vehicle, but that time is not now.
  7. So.. I haven't been on in a while, and wanted to update everyone on the busters life. I was laid off from the Chrysler dealership in December of 2017. I took some time off and worked with my dad and helped with his business. The talk came up of me taking over, but business slowed way down and the money wasn't there for me. The wife is a nurse at our local hospital and looked in their job openings and found a tech job in the ED. I applied and got the job back in September. It is a fun job and I love it. Good benefits and hours, also more money than I made at the dealership. Car wise.... I blew up my Honda I got stuck in snow a month or so ago and it jumped time when I was trying to go uphill, completely my fault I should have just walked up the hill but I was determined to make it... I didn't and had to be towed up the last 20 feet. So tax time came and I bought a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited v8 for 2250. I love it, has a few issues to work on. Death wobble is one of them, but I think that's from a caliper that is sticking on the right front as the wobble only shows up after using the brakes multiple times. after hitting every red light going down 79 in Heath it shows up when I hit 50mph on the highway part, coincidence or cause? I'll post pics when I take some and clean it up. But that is all for now, just wanted to say I'm still alive and things are going great now.
  8. I drive an 03 civic with crap for power, I'll take on anything just for fun. My goal is to make a 300-350hp car to have fun with and still be reliable to daily. Out here in the cornfields we have a surge of Subarus and old beat Hondas, I don't see many high power cars, also don't get out much during night time.
  9. Just a trailer for it.
  10. I have a 2003 civic. Am currently just planning rice type stuff for now. I don't want to throw a bunch of money into it if I would be able to get an eclipse down the road. If I were to build the Honda, I would ditch the d17 in it now for a type R motor, lower it- not slammed, new wheels/tires, brakes, intake and exhaust. Along with some appearance upgrades.
  11. True. But couldn't you split everything into a L/R setup. Have two top mount intercoolers that connect to 1 bank each, and same for the rest of the setup. Or is that still just as bad or over complicating things?
  12. https://blog.caranddriver.com/engines-with-small-individual-turbos-for-each-cylinder-could-revolutionize-downsizing/ I shared this on the Facebook group. But for those who aren't on there, what are your thoughts on this?
  13. Surprised no one has mentioned me yet... If I had 8 grand... Probably get an AWD Turbo Eclipse, and turn it into Brian's car. I am choosing the awd over fwd for better launch and handling. I found one on craigslist for 3-4 grand, leaving me with enough to upgrade suspension, wheels/tires and brakes. Yes I have thought about this and the wife is slightly possibly ok with it maybe. Haha. kids are both front facing so that's not as bad of an issue anymore. I'm just on the fence still on staying with the tuner car scene or getting a Cherokee XJ and making an overland style vehicle.
  14. What are some games you guys play with the s/o? We just picked up Boss Monster, a turn based card game, and it has been fun the past couple nights. No T.V., just us and some time together. looking for more games like that.
  15. Haven't worked there for 5 years now...
  16. I was watching a video of a SRT8 TT Grand Cherokee drag racing. Co-worker said that was stupid and that things like suv's and crappy Hondas shouldn't be on the dragstrip. That anyone with money can make a car fast. He thinks that only cars that are meant to be fast are cool and those are the only ones to choose from- as long as its an American car with a big v8 and not an import. yes whiny bitchy post. Debate for here. If you were to get beat by something, would you rather get beat by something inherently fast and meant to be fast? Or something surprising and out of the ordinary? Me personally, I would rather be beat by the sleeper car that you wouldn't expect.
  17. Bolts are seized buy rust and heat. tried to use a air hammer gently to knock them loose a bit as I had very little room for a regular hammer. Figured it would be easier to replace the whole manifold.
  18. So I decided to replace my oil pan on Saturday. In doing so I broke the bolts that mount the exhaust to the manifold, the ones with the springs. Currently waiting on a tech to get a free moment to see if they can help me out. On Ebay(can't afford factory right now) I can get a factory style with the cat for ~$100, or I can get a "race" style for half that at about $50. Not looking for power gains just get rid of the noise and save some money if possible. Will the non cat trigger engine issues? Light is already on due to evap system stuff-will work on that later. Which would be a better choice?
  19. That was before the Mt. Dew addiction. Drank water and tang
  20. While I'm not sure about rv spots, I will chime in on good locations that I have camped at. Blue Rock State park is a nice place, has a lake Burr Oak is another nice place, lots of hiking/exploring areas there, beautiful in the fall when the leaves change. A little bit further south is Zaleski State Park- good for nice hiking, again not sure on rv spots. I've hiked the 10 and 20 mile loops peacefull. I have seen bears at Zaleski and signs of them at Blue Rock and Burr Oak just a heads-up There is a Boy Scout camp in Licking county called Camp Falling Rock I would call and check with them to see about non scouts camping.
