  1. I agree with this. I have thousands of dollars in my 400. You have to replace the sprag and drum on a stock 400 to handle any power plus a stock sprag will grenade when you come out of the water box. Powerglides are relatively inexpensive to build. Basically all you need is a soft parts kit and an input shaft (to make it a turbo spline). As light as your car is the glide in my opinion is the way to go. Plus, the consistency of a two speed is deadly.
  2. If you are going to the track day let me know and I will bring them with me. I'd like to get $700 because that's what I have in the porting and valve springs. nevermind......
  3. I have a set of ported heads from a '98 ls1 if you're interested.
  4. Can I use my E.T.I. here or will need to pull my hood and such off?
  5. Does any one here know if the GM 3800 S/C connecting rod have a front and back? It appears to me that both sides are the same. I want to make sure before remove the pistons and send them off to Columbus Cold Weld for reconditioning. Thank you in advance for any help.
  6. I like how prior to the incident it looks like Ray is just out for a Sunday cruise. No big deal, I'll just run down here to the end of the track for some milk and eggs.
  7. PM Pontiacfreak and he'll give the skinny on how good a job Best Buy does on RS installs.
  8. Thats a good point Dave that I did'nt try. I always set the angle with the car empty.
  9. A trans cooler line let go. I have it fixed enough for moving the car but the Cutlass is done for the year. I have the entire front clip off. I havent really given the car much attention over the last two years or so. Its in need of some TLC. Curious, did anyone here see my last run? I heard it was a sight to see.
  10. I'd go but...I don't want to be "that guy" again....
  11. I'd have to check it again to make sure but I'm pretty sure is about 9 or 10 degrees down. In the first video at the 36 second mark you can see it hits the tires pretty hard. I would say from that video that my PSI is too low but when I run 11 or higher it spins terrible. I've tried going 1/2 turn shorter on the upper control arms but it didn't like that and turn a terrible 60. I'd love to be able to give it all on the line and come off just under the converter stall but that gives me 60's in1.5x's. I've never really given any thought to changing the front shocks. I have considered a limiter of short to keep the front from throwing itself up so to speak.
