Kale @ TCKline?

I differ with some of the opinions here. I think it depends on which winter tire you choose.
My winter-only Michelin X-Ice tires offer poor traction in the wet and sub-optimal traction on dry pavement. You can't beat them in ice or snow. I've driven for 12 years on (different sets of) these, and I've learned to use them for their intended purpose and to back-off considerably when off ice/snow.
I've seen Blizzacks used all year round and never heard if they had compromised traction when not on ice/snow.
Why not just use an all-season tire for the truck?
From Consumersearch.com, commenting on the X-Ice:
Performance
Terrific for severe ice and snow -- but not the best choice for mild winters. Expect outstanding grip on ice and snow: The Michelin X-Ice Xi3 outclasses all rivals on winter roads in professional tests. But on dry or wet pavement that is clear of snow and ice, the Michelin's performance isn't as strong. It suffers from long braking distances in test after test. This is common for severe-winter snow tires, though. If you usually drive on cleared roads, consider a mild-winter performance tire like the very well regarded, but pricy Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 (Est. $225 and up) or the harder to find but more modestly priced Nokian WR G3 (Est. $120 and up).
I run the X-Ice Xi3 as well and can comment they suck in the dry. I would not feel confident driving in warm temperatures with them on. Above 50F and you'll burn through the tire quick.
I was stuck once with winter tires and had to travel back from Dayton to Cleveland from school in 65F weather. By the end of the trip I could smell the burning rubber.
If you REALLY want to go this route, go with a Blizzak LM tire or similar. They are meant to see higher temperatures (as well as better dry/wet performance) for sacrificing ice and snow grip

Car looks great! How do you like the seats? I would like a pair in my car sooner or later. Do you daily it?
I love the seats, actually IMO more comfortable than my stock seats.
Yes, it is my daily
Good looking carHow does it handle compared to your other bmw?
Thanks!
This one is on rails compared to the other. Of course I have full blown suspension and about 300 lbs lighter than the Z4.
Just alot more nimble, much more responsive and much, much faster in a corner.

Needs more pictures of ducks and toilets.
Kale, gotta give you a nice little golf clap. The determination you had throughout this build is outstanding.
Can't wait to see the car on Sunday. I'll be ready

Ugh, not looking forward to doing all this, again, once they decided what the scca is going to do with the 370z.
It will get thrown into STU eventually.
-
Nice work! I look forward to seeing it out this season. I'm sure you two will be a force to be reckoned with.
Hopefully I can throw a monkey wrench into this situation.
No pun intended.

If he ran many more tests why doesn't he show the rest of them? Also on the videos posted by the bullet manufacturer they shoot 20-30 rounds from a full auto glock into it to show the trocars splitting apart as nice as they do in there videos. I bet if he shot the same gelatin block a couple more times they would penetrate a couple inches deeper and give more of what you saw in the video posted by the manufacturer.
How do you know the manufacture gelatin block is calibrated to FBI spec?

I'm not that concerned with SCCA classing if I'm being honest.
I don't want to hear you complain when you enter into a preped class and get beat
Although, it would be fun watching you with a tune.

Decided to put up my PS3 on ebay.
Starting bid is $119.99. Willing to negotiate outside ebay and settle/end the auction early if one of the members here are interested:
Considering the starting bid is basically less than what you could even pay for the games alone or the PS3 alone if you bought pre-owned from gamestop, IMO I think it is a fair offer. Of course I have no problem selling close to this for you guys.

Have the digital fit in my 1 series...Absolutely love the fit. Much better than normal mats that don't cover the sides of the carpet and salt always builds up there.
-
Sat at home and scored a deal on a Vizio M Series 50" from bestbuy.
Free shipping to my door, and didn't need to camp outside.

IMO I'd avoid the new chassis. I'm not sold on the new auto start/stop...as my boss who owns a F10 528i had to replace spark plugs at 20k.
The E9x and E82 N54/N55 engines (335 and 135) are prone to HPFP failures, failed injectors, and require walnut blasting from what it seems around 50k miles.
I currently drive a E82 128i, manual transmission and M sport package. Nothing else. Going to tick over 10k miles this weekend (bought it with 4200 miles in April) and the car has been absolutely awesome. Obviously this doesn't hold much merit. But my dad has a E92 328xi going 70k strong and my mom's X3 (also a N52 engine) is ticking 64k IIRC, all with no problems and both with regular service items.
Recap: Go with older gen 3 series with NA engine. They are tanks

Bravo Company (BCM) is about as good as you can find. I've heard some very mixed things about G&R Tactical though.
I think this is what you are looking for:
http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-Mid-16-AR15-Bravo-Company-s/142.htm
I'd suggest going to your preferred local dealer and asking if they could order that for you. Or, go the route favored by most of us and build your own.
I wouldn't spend a grand on a Smith&Wesson AR. They just aren't worth that much. For that money you can get a Colt from anywhere.
In in Cleveland, so G&R is fairly close to me.
And to comment, my link was correct. I don't want a Mid-16 Mod 0...because you pay more than getting the stripped version and adding your parts
BCM is a good company, wouldn't hesitate to use any of their parts. But what is your plan? you can probably build something that goes bang for 2/3rd the price that is just as nice. Just not the BCM name.Mainly it will be for range shooting, maybe down the road participate in 3-Gun for giggles, and take some courses to improve marksmanship on it.
Thoughts on 2/3rd price guns?

What do you plan to do with it? Training? Just something to take to the range? Have land and plan to get rid of pesky animals?
I ask this because you mention a flip up rear sight and I keep seeing people come to get their rifle zero'd in and they have a junk rear sight for what they want to do. Some people are only going to run an optic, I can get that. But what the rifle can do, and what you intend to do with it, need to be set up together.
As of now, just range and training...Don't own a house/land yet...
Closest range is max 100 yds. I hope to get land to where I can shoot on my property at longer distances
I plan on getting an Eotech or Aimpoint come next year...that's why I'm planning on a rear flip-up.
