  2. Since I have this sig on car enthusiast sites I expect them to know which gtr I'm talking about. After all only one year car do it bone stock...I guess it's my bad I'm not more specific in some of the shit I post. Would you like to know why a 13 is the only factory stock car that Richard Simmons could drive it in the 10's or can you be a big boy and try a search on YouTube? Let me know what you find. I do like to make myself out to be like an idiot at times..     Richard Simmons GTR found nothing relevant on YouTube, so maybe you should. If you want people to have to read everything that you type 3 or 4 times before they are able to comprehend the logic you have, then that's on you. I don't need to try and bust your balls, because all I'll do is laugh my ass off that I'm in the 12's with a salvage titled 21 year old car that I've got a fraction of the money into that you have into yours. Then I'll ask you for a pic of your time slips, and quite frankly I could give a fuck less what a stock ls2 m6 Corvette runs. For having $10k in the drivetrain I'd assume you'd be into mid-9's.

  3. If Nissan ever released a 6 speed gtr it would be around 20k cheaper and yes a lot slower but it would finally require a driver mod for the true car enthusiasts.. As someone stated before. Car enthusiasts and auto does not belong in the same sentence. I never said any stock gtr can run 10's factory stock but the 2013 can so re-cap yourself bud. There's a sequential 6 speed for the corvette. Lg makes them but will cost you close to 25,000$ (transmission only) Works well and is impressive but I can't suffix to giving up rowing gears

  4. A GTR is insane on shifts. Even in stock form, which I've ridden in, was incredible. I surely would prefer a 6 speed because nothing beats the feeling of rowing gears, but they were chasing a time and a car, they did what had to be done, and like the reasons stated before, the bits of time saved per shift even against the fastest shifter is incredible. Not to mention human error, aka missed shifts.
  5. Not that I want to agree with anyone, but I have seen really high mileage C6s come up once in a while for $18k and up. Most start in the upper $20s. I've seen C5s sell for around $10k with a lot of miles, but its whatever. If you want a nice low mileage C6 expect to spend mid-upper 30s.

     

    I've seen a few like those you mentioned. I'd rather stay far away, im sure the mile on them haven't been the easiest, especially one with a few owners...

  6. I'm a fairly good troll.. I don't let Internet talk get to me lol. I wasn't trying to make the contest favour me. I was trying to make the dyno event somewhat fair. Get your hp per weight (also known as power to weight ratio). And get your torque per pound and add the two. Obvious a 700hp colt will have better hp2weight but a 800-900hp v8 with 34xx might have better Tq to weight than the colt. He wins one an other guy wins one but don't matter till you add both power to weight ratios together. Would be a little more complex than the hp per liter but more fair. Still think the colt would win easily over example vehicle.

Can't you take your keyboard warrior head band off now? If gtr's where more affordable then there would be commercial's and a lot more of them on the street.. 50k for a used gtr is still out of a lot of people's price range. You can get an 05c6 for 22-25k and even that's still out a lot of people's price range. If you knew anything about gms then you would know vehicles lt1 is a trim package NOT the motor. I was asking Alex if it's on e85 because You can learn quite a bit just from ones type of fuel..93 has limitations that just won't fit the bill like e85 in small liter engines where they need all the help they can get (like a 2l) So a 870rwhp Car put bus lengths on a 890awhp gtr because he had to spray to get 870hp? Aerodynamics and better gearing favoured the vette? You don't say? Also know the zr1 only comes in m6 so it actually requires a driver mod. Please do tell me how a awd car with a 20+k trans and paddle/auto shifted car requires a driver mod even at 890awhp. That vette still had stock 19in rims and nittos.. If he would of had drag set up on it would been real nasty for the gtr. On a rare case imports are fast. I don't quite understand why your not getting that. Everywhere I been there's been (north carolina,pa,va, ohio) 100's of imports but maybe 1 or 2 that's somewhat fast (12's or better) everyone has there determination of fast. 1/4 track times isn't my thing. Maybe after I finish remodeling this house I just bought and get my other house sold in nc then I could start not caring if the car breaks. I have a lot other ways I could spend that cash than to put another chunk of change in the drivetrain again. My car isn't a drag car by any means. It's an all rounded sports car and I'm building in that way. I refuse to get drag suspension,drag splendels to fit 15in rims, and take out the front sway bar (this is required to run a respectable time with a high hp vette) When I started building the car I never had intentions I would take it this far anyhow. D wiggs? He wouldn't even know how to take a battery out and put in back in.

     

    This talk of GT-R's not having marketing for their cars is fucking idiotic at best. Like Jones and me have told you before, they didn't NEED IT. 99% of GT-R's sell ABOVE sticker price. Know why you can never find one at a dealer? Because as soon as they get one in, it's gone the next day. I go past Chevy dealers and see at least 5-10 C6's just sitting, and they are even marked down usually.

    Find me a C6 for 22,000. I'm really curious now.:dumb:

    Gauge Cluster- $80 OBO

    Roughly go for this on eBay. Originally from a 2001 Trans Am. Bought it at T/A Nationals last August, I believe it has just under or at 100,000 miles on it. When I tested it out all gauges and lights worked. Fairly dirty, could use a decent clean. Minimal scratches. Planned on sending it out for the MPH conversion, paid $85 or more I believe.

The whp/liter these 4 bangers throughing out is fucking impressive and makes these big v8's a joke. Is the torque and hp output enough to justify a v8's more excuse not to make hp/liter? No a v8 will have a power and longer than 500-800rpm and a thing called torque to hall there fat asses. I respect anything thats fast as long as it requires a driver to know what he's doing and not a trailer queen.. Could be gutted v8 or inl4 either case w/e. there's always a faster "street" car no matter what you do until you get in shop cars.. Then Obvis the lmr vette takes that. Please explain how imstock is trying to make this where I win 99%? If anything I'm an underdog going into this. If anything theres a 99% chance I'm going to lose this.

    Shot what? Are you referring to spraying? Nothing that I own has ever been sprayed while I've owned it, and until I'm out of school none of it ever will be. It's way out of the budget and too much of a risk for me to take

I was Hoping towards a mile event when he came up with this. How is this about to be king of the streets when there won't be any cars running on the streets anyhow? I have no care for 1/4

    You do realize a stock K7 600 makes roughly 100 at the wheel, right? (109.3 per SportRider)

    A 2.4l has four times the displacement..

    Allow me to put my education to use...

    2.4 Liters is 2400 Cubic Centimeters. 600 cubic centimeters goes into 2400 cubic centimeters 4 times. So 500 horse on 2400 cubic centimeters would be equivalent to 125 horse on 600 cubic centimeters. I could run a fucking 25 shot and be there and that's on a stock bike :dumb:

     

    I have a Power Commader and exhaust, so even with a tiny shot I would be giving it a competition.

     

    We're bitching because dyno numbers are irrelevant to how a street car runs preform and with a 700hp inline 4 you knew you would take the whp/liter.. That's like saying who makes the most torque or combined hp Tq would should get the pot. You wanted to do dyno I gave a great way to do it to make it fair.. It's not just the "v8" guys.. It's Including the 3l inline 6 guys as well. A 3l would need to make .8x more hp than the 2.2l inl4 just to be even. You make more hp/liter with a 4 cydl I get it..But your logic is making you the winner or some other 4cldr and that's like saying who makes the most torque wins... That would give the prize to one of us v8 guys..

     

    If you are having such an objection to all of these terms then make your own god damn competition with your own fucking rules. Rather than bitching about smaller motors with less money in them that will be kicking your C6's ass on all contests involved for a fraction of the cost. It's not rocket science here, either accept the rules as stated and nut up and shut up..or just move on and stop trying to turn the competition into "imstock2's flawless way to win 99% of the pot"

    I honestly think my Supra would out-do your C6 on whp/L, and it's Jank as fuck, And it has lawn-mower sized turbos on it. But then again, you won't tell any numbers soooo....
