  1. I had an ex500 for a year, to be honest i did get bored of it after one riding season, and it was my second bike after riding my dads 77 kz650 for like 2 months. It'll do over a hundred, but if you go riding with ur buddies on some new supersports, your gonna get real envious. Id get a new 600.

What i meant is that a new 600 vs another new 600, and a new 1000 vs another new 1000 are virtually the same. Of course a new 1000 would destroy a 600 in straight line speed...
  3. All this bitching about 10 or 15 hp is pretty pointless. Pretty much every 1000 and 600 now a days are so damn close in straight line speed that it could be anyones race. Take it to the twisties and see who can really ride, i mean drag racing other bikes once in a while is fun, but its always sooo close, personally i think its boring, and pointless. Just my oppinion...

Very true, but when your riding a bike that has more power than most cars, any small fuck up on the throttle or brakes means bad news...Better to get your basic skills down on a more forgiving bike. Just my oppinion...ive watched too many n00b's fuck themselves up on new 600's and 1000's because they wanna look sweet instead of trying to gain the skills to match the bike.

You have another post asking about a textile suit, then this one asking about track gear... Why not get a leather suit?

Its a matter of money, i was looking into getting the textile pants for the street since i dont have ne riding pants. I would love to get a joe rocket GPX 2 piece, but i dont have $600. I wanted to try out the track and see if its something i would want to do again before dropping all the money for gear. 90% tread? damn, this is gonna be one expensive ass day...
  6. alright thanks man,i have some michelin pilot powers with about a 1000 miles on them, im guessing by july ill have 3000 on them, will that be enough tread you think?? I also plan on riding my bike up there because i have no other way to transport it.

i was just checking sportbiketracktime.com and it says $195 for a day pass at mid ohio, is there other days they have track days or is just like a once a month thing. Why is it so expensive? Also, it says boots that cover the ankles, would my icon superduty boots be legal at the track, or do i need full race boots?

  8. thanks man seems like a great site, only one thing i dont know what size i need. Im pretty tall (6 ft 4), skinny (185 lbs), and i wear 36/36 pants. They have a teknic suit on closeout but it seems to be way too small.
  9. I was looking into doing some track days this summer. Of course i need to get all the proper gear, those of you who have done track days, where can i get all the gear for the lowest price. Also i was debating on whether or not to take the california superbike school at mid ohio, or take the money for that one day class and buy all the gear i need and just do a few track days and get the hang of it. Im low on money, and just wanted to know where everyone got their stuff at, even if its lightly used thats fine by me. Thanks for the replys guys.
  10. my buddies 93 camaro Z28 just got back from the shop, and he apperently has a hole in his exhaust. He was looking into getting an aftermarket, and would like something that eliminates the cat's. Whats a good exhaust setup for this car that has the best sound/performance at a reasonable price. Thanks for the replys guys.

yeah, if neone knows of some good twisties near by please tell me, because i cant find shit! It gets a lil old riding in straight line...

Youde never catch me dragging a knee wearing textile pants with knee pucks.

yeah i know, but i dont have $300 to get a pair of super moto pants, if u know of ne other types of pants with sliders that arent that pricey id really appreciate it, thanks
  13. Well i just got back from iron pony looking for some riding pants. I found exactly what i wanted but it was in a two piece suit. I just want the pants, i already have a jacket. The size is 44 and color is blue. If neone wants a nice textile jacket for the summer, ill sell it to them separately. But in the mean time im not gonna buy it if no one will buy the jacket. They wouldint sel it separately, just hoping someone wants the jacket but not the pants, thanks guys.
