I love not needing stands almost as much as I love having a driveshaft. I'd gladly trade once/year final drive service over regular chain and sprocket maintenance. Practicality and function are irreplaceable to a grumpy critical bastard like me. I'm surprised how easy to own the BMW happens to be. It's very maintenance friendly, yet requires very little maintenance. Of course, nothing expensive has broken yet.

Got some proper meats on the dirty bike finally. Ditched those shit stock tires it came with. Now she actually looks like she can go places no man is supposed to go.

Please...change one on a Connie and compare. Only try if you have at least 2 hours of your time. A clue is, it's in the frame behind the steering neck.

Although the Connie air filter is a pain,  the Wing air filter is worse.

Did some seat modifications over the weekend to try to make Ame more comfortable. Test rode it with some friends at cruiser speeds. Definitely made an improvement that will work for now. Need to decide where I’m sending the OEM seat to (Day, Laam, Terry’s Custom). New shoes installed today.
