Popular Post Aesthetic_Influx
Hey all, Me: My name is Mike. I work at a local advertising agency by day, and by night I'm an obsessive car geek. I moved to Columbus almost exactly a year ago by way of Dayton (originally from Cleveland), and have just now found my way to the local scene. I frequent quite a few other car forums, and find myself addicted to discussing the details of this hobby that consumes so much of my time and energy. I am a moderator over at 300zxclub.com, so I am happy to say that I am not the typical noob who can't search, find his way around the internet, or understand the finer points of criticism. The Cars: I picked up my 1992 Nissan 300ZX in December of 2000, and have driven that both as a DD and now as a weekend car ever since. It has been my obsession, my pride and joy, and continues to be my rolling therapy session most days. I am more than happy to discuss the details of modifications, but for the sake of not making a ridiculous list on my introduction thread... here are two pictures instead. http://www.flux21.com/z/zdayz07/DSC04641.jpg http://www.flux21.com/z/zdayz07/DSC04814.jpg My other car, my DD, is worth mentioning because it has connected me to the VW crowd... a first for me. It's a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta GLI. For a car enthusiast, finding a mint DD with Recaro seats, 6spd and BBS wheels stock, was completely awesome. My commute has never been so much fun. Yes, I have a (teaser-like) picture for this too... http://www.flux21.com/bora/DSC06432.jpg Wrap-Up: I really like the idea of becoming involved in a multi-make, local car forum. I have been active in local AutoX events for the past seven years (minus last summer for all-around maintenance) and hope to seek out others in that circuit as well. I like the idea of an introduction thread being a feeler for regular members to accept or deny privileges; hopefully I can become a contributing member. Thanks for reading. 1

So since you have a euro car and an asian car, what from the Americas will you be buying next? Welcome.

ImUrOBGYN
Great intro, however, I'd still like to know mods, ie; apc stickers, windshield washer lights, neons, maybe a turbo but that would be ricey. Welcome. I'm sure you'll be approved.
Aesthetic_Influx
Thanks for the comments everyone. ND2RACE - I'm not going to lie, the new Challenger has become stuck in my head. It may just be from a design standpoint, or the specs on the SRT8 model. Either way... very nice. ImUrOBGYN - Love your car. Before I had the Nissan, I drove an '87 Supra Turbo. I loved that car so much.... still consider picking another one up if I had room. Modifications.... Bigbird
Wow...this thread should be stickied so other noobs can take note. Welcome man, are you on ohionissans? Aesthetic_Influx
One more, rather glaring thing I forgot to add... for the sake of fun. My Z put down 327 rwhp and 355 rwtq at 13.65psi on 93 octane last spring. That was decent, but I was having (well, still am having) an issue of running dangerously lean. I am replacing some parts, doing some trouble shooting, and plan to have her retuned running 15psi come spring. My goal is 350 rwhp and 375 rwtq. Nothing mind blowing, but enough to make me happy. I am all about a perfectly running machine, well-within the safe zone, so that I can enjoy her for as long as possible. http://www.flux21.com/z/dyno1b.jpg Wow...this thread should be stickied so other noobs can take note. Welcome man, are you on ohionissans? I used to be on there, I may or may not have met you at a meet before haha. Very nice cars! Believe it or not, I was on board at the conception of OhioNissans. Knew most of the original guys there and frequently hung out with them. Then I just kind of strayed from it after some differences in opinions, and that's about all. No harm no foul, just moved on. Thanks for the compliment. Who knows, I might have met you... it is a small world, especially in central Ohio.

spankis
That place is a black hole really. I'm not sure what you mean really, but my friend bought a 3.5 6spd maxima not long ago and he links me to stuff over there occasionally. He's bicranium both there and here on CR - he doesn't post much.
