  1. Hello everyone, Just checked the rules, hopefully this first post is good enough. I've lived in Columbus for about 8 years now. Always been a car nut and finally got enough money to get my first car last year. It took 3 years of searching on and off to find it at the right price. This summer will be my 4th year of autocross. First 3 in my dad's '01 BRG Miata in CS, now my '91 BRG Miata with some goodies under the hood in EM/SM. I've also been drag racing multiple times at Norwalk, National Trails and a track in Marion in all my families cars(Yukon XL, Audi S4, and the two Miatas) That's about it. Now for some pictures. The two Miatas together http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/5745/washedmiatas.jpg http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/washedmiatas.jpg/1/w604.png Kinda a dark picture, but the car is garaged for the winter so I don't have many good pictures http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/449/dark91.jpg http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/dark91.jpg/1/w604.png And of course Topless. Can't wait for summer http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/540/topless.jpg http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/topless.jpg/1/w604.png "New" car racing debut at Hangover Nationals 09 http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/1940/hangovernationals.jpg http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/hangovernationals.jpg/1/w604.png And of course an engine shot http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/3245/engineshot.jpg http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/engineshot.jpg/1/w604.png Hopefully these are good enough pictures of my car as these are the only ones I got before I put it away for the Winter.

  5. The AR platform is customizable in countless ways, and can be built to perform one specific purpose very well. For example, and AR with a 24" barrel and decent scope can be an ideal coyote or varmint rifle. Accurate, low recoil, and readily available follow-up shots. A handgun will not suffice. Its a hobby like anything else, much the same you put wheels on your car you can customize your rifle. The manufacturers whom make parts for the AR/M-16 are plentiful, offering a variety of personalization you can add to the rifle. Then there is the "what-if" conspiracy theorist extreme survivalist type. If mayhem is unleashed and you need to defend the life yourself and your family and protect your food and belongings a handgun will not suffice. This could be of a civil magnitude, or an invasion from another country where militia is needed. Once could also argue the civilian market generates revenue to fund R&D of better equipment used in the military. The second amendment helps prevent corruption and maintains semi-honest government. Do I personally feel I NEED to own one? Not really. Do I have the RIGHT and WANT to own one? Absolutely. Do some people NEED a so-called "assault rifle?" Probably.

  6. i think its Image Shack. I've never had a problem on forums with it though. And I don't know what the links are at the bottom of each picture, they didn't show up until I posted. Image Shack must have put them on there

  7. I would agree that the chances of an uprising are slim to none in today's day and age. It's been said before, and I'd have to agree; this country has turned into a bunch of pussies. But, I would have to say that just because one doesn't think their side could win, that it's justifiable to just give up, and submit. Remember, the colonists had about an ice cube's chance in hell of winning as well...

  8. The fact of the matter is, the 2nd Amendment CLEARLY states: 'The rights of of the people shall NOT be infringed' Regulations = infringment; and I have a problem with that. Again, it goes back to why the 2A was implemented in the first place. The founding fathers put it there so that The People would be just as well armed as the gov't should they need to rise up against tyranny. If you let the gov't legislate out all of your modern firearms, then how are you supposed to control the gov't should the time arise? Are you going to do it with a bolt action .22? Highly doubtful. The gov't knows that a WELL ARMED populous is harder to control. And the gov't doesn't like knowing that they're weaker than The People. A well armed person is a citizen A disarmed person is a subject

  9. I'm going to get crap for asking this, but why would a private citizen need an assult rifle? I'm looking for valid reasoning other than it's your constitutional right.

  10. I'd just like to know why I'm being flamed after 3 days when I've clearly done nothing that will hurt anyone but myself. Isn't that my prerogative? I understand there will be certain criticisms and I admit wearing shorts while riding isn't smart, but this makes me "you're not cool because of it just not intelligent". Let's be retrospective on the intelligence comment. I mean is the goal of this site to basically hate on all new members and make them feel unwelcome? If so mission accomplished.
