  1. The "kill switch" that comes on your bike should be sufficient... ya know, the big red toggle switch that'll kill your engine even if the key is ON.

If they meant a tether like Mello's post suggests, it would've read "automatic kill switch". If you're riding modern bikes, most of them have tip over switches too, which is another kill switch-like device.

That's what my thoughts were. I guess we'll just go down there sometime and see what they have to say about it. I'm not about to make an effort to try and 'rig' my bike. We were only gonna run for the hell of it.

  2. Me and some guys from work were talking about taking our bikes down sometime and running them just for fun.... but we heard today we need a manual kill switch? Someone please elaborate further. What kind of kill switch?

  3. Those places look pretty cool. Never been there before. I might have to some more exploring and 'sightseeing'.

I was on the ferry a couple weeks ago though. Took it back from the twisty roads in KY. Then 52 to 222 and back to Amelia.

If you've got any good suggestions on places worth checking out, please share.

  4. finally found some good riding on 132 to New Richmond, and 222 Next to my house.Less tickets than being on 275, Love the ride to Maysville on AA, and the River on 50? I think? I am new here from Florida so I am learning the area.

I'm in Amelia as well. There's a ton of good roads around here. But the Real roads belong to Kentucky

  5. welcome to the forum. What part of the east side are you from? You should meet some of us for bike night this wednesday.

I've been there the past couple of weeks. As far as I know, I've had the only candy red R6 there (that I've seen anyway). Most likely be going again tomorrow as long as the weather holds out

EDIT: Oh, and I'm in Amelia

  6. Just curious if anyone made it down to Newport this past weekend for their annual motorcycle rally. Probably a bunch of cruisers I would imagine. I was on my way down there Sunday, but a rider that was with us went down..... no major damage to rider (fractured collarbone and some scrapes), bike wasn't so hot though. So the rest of us, after the situation was taken care of, of course, just stopped at the QS&L in milford.

But did anyone go? How was it? Worth going next year?
