  5. i had this happen on my 72 honda the floats ended up getting a tiny hole in them and filled with fuel and were no longer shutting the fuel off when the bowl was full. i ended up taking the bowl off the bike without taking the carbs off swapping the floats and then i was good as new. until in the process one of the 30 year old gaskets that i did not know was there turned to jelly and caused the bike to drop power at high rpm. so i had to find the gasket and get a new one. long story short get some new floats and a new gasket set. then start to fix them. took me a 2 hours to do the work and 2 weeks waiting for parts. total cost 30 bucks
  6. i have two pair of riding pants one is a set of teknic insulated pants for cold weather and when it rains to keep my office pants dry but for the weekend i have a pair of motogp leather pants i had a little tip in a parking lot once with just regular jeans on, the pants were fine but i still skinned the knee underneath from the impact. so when i do wear regular pants i stick a set of shin knee pads on under the pant

  11. i think you made a good choice i have ridden a hd1200 and they are fun but again personal preference i could never justify footing the cost of a hd. now as to recent HD quality i have met a man who rode his hd everyday and ended up putting so many miles on it HD bought it back from him to display in the HD museum. it was some insane miles he was retired and rode it coast to coast on a weekly basis the only work ever done to the bike was a rebuild at 250000 mile otherwise just the usual maitnace now since then what he has been riding a......... Burgman 650 says he loves it comfy and easy to ride.

  15. i know but it was to good to pass up
  16. dont sell it. if you like the bike and dont need the money keep it. i sold mine and i miss it. sure it has its faults, but the bike is just fun to ride.
