I'm no expert, but I'd be willing to bet it would run fine at least down to 10V. And that being said, I highly doubt it'd die while riding unless it wasnt charging. And if that were the case you'd known. It'd been running wierd first, not just died. Wouldnt have turned over. And the headlight wouldnt have worked. But thats just my guess...

I still think you got a loose connection somewhere, or a bad TCI box.

You said its an 06, is there any kind of warrenty? Maybe you're wasting your time. drop it off at the dealership and let it be their problem.

You got a manual, at least a wire diagram? My 78 has power go through this order, that is easy to follow..

battery, fuse, ignition switch, kill switch, coils.

Thats an old bike, with points, but you should still have +12V to the coils. Couldn't tell you for sure without seeing a diagram though.

Check your fuses, I've seen them work loose. If from there you may have a bad kickstand switch, but if you said it starts with or without stand down, then probably not. Maybe a bad solder joint in the TCI box?

Best bet is to get a diagram and a test light or volt meter...

well I was gonna ask if anyone has had to make a claim with them. My mom was talking she read consumer reports that they're rates are great, but when it comes time to pay up they suddenly aren't as friendly, but it sounds like everyone here has had great luck with them. Anyone have any different stories before I just on the wagon too?

Dont sweat it dude. I re-ended a lady a few years back. She was a drama queen, but swore she wasn't going to sue me blah blah. one year 10 months later, Just before the statut of limitations was up, I got a letter saying I was being sued. so did my mom. Turns out both her, and her husband (who wasnt even in the car) was sueing both me, and my mom (since it was in her name) for blah blah.

My insurance was wonderful. They sent us a lawyer. He handled everything. Turned out she went to one of those "have you been hurt in an accicent " lawyers who promised her all this money "she deserved" She ended up walking away with LESS than they originally offered her... She was just trying to be greedy...

I bought a camper from a guy in cleveland. I asked him to have the title notorized before I got there. Drove 5 miles to get there, and found out not only did he not have it notorized, it wasn't even in his name. So 3 hours later of driving around trying to find someone to notorize it, finally he remembers his mom is a notery. Long story short, I get it home and to the license place, a notory is only require if the title says so. All titles from Ohio require notory. From Illinois they don't require a notory. All that was for nothing.

That being said, check and make sure WV even requires notory on that title. You may only need a bill of sale. The License agency didn't even ask me for that...

The other option you have isn't quite as legal, but.... you can do a lemon check. If the title looks clean find someone that has a notory. forge a signature.

Personlly I'd take it to the license burro and ask them. They'll check the serial number and tell you if its clean or not. And they might be able to give you some sugestions.
