  1. Maybe I am missing the point of the subsidy.. Isn't the subsidy to keep the company from failing or being in the red every year? If that's the case then isn't the retirement gov't funded by tax payers dollars? I'm not trying to argue the need for the railroad (I do realize it is needed) just the fact that the web page said its not costing any taxes... As far as unions.. I am a member and since this is a public forum I will keep my opinions to myself.... And our retirement is self funded and the only gov't support is from contracts on items we sold to them. -VanDy
  2. The only reason I brought it up is that the website says that It doesn't cost tax payers money. If its subsidized then doesn't it cost tax payers? I'm not takin away from the necessity of railroads, just that it's misleading on the petition site -VanDy

    screw my boss

Maybe it's just me, but if having a few extra toys and disposable is the difference between more time with my kiddo or not, I'm going to choose time with my kid EVERYTIME!!! -VanDy
  4. the U.S. Department of Transportation distributed $98 million in TIGER funds to the National Gateway project, run by CSX. Washington chipped in a total of $111 million to the program, Virginia added about $9 million, and Ohio threw in a bit less than $1 million. http://www.thetransportpolitic.com/2010/09/13/new-heartland-corridor-increases-freight-capacity-between-east-coast-and-chicago/ -VanDy
  5. I don't have time to research it now, and you in the field probably know better anyway... Aren't railroads subsidies by the federal gov't? -VanDy
  6. My last try.... By push left, it means push on the LEFT BAR, (which is like steering right) and the bike then leans ad turns right .... -VanDy
  7. that could almost work, although I think you would end up with a darker shade while not tinted. Since 'from what I understand' the kindles use balls that are one side white one side black and flip them over to make the text and what not. or.... A really cool looking solar panel built into your helmet since you only need it when its bright out anyway!
  8. A dwelling place for lions, glory holes and other adult 'novelties!' -VanDy
  9. It was on a podcast called 'the pace' I recommend them, they talk everything bikes, although little of cruisers... -VanDy
  10. http://e-tintproducts.com Looks like it has just a bit of tint when not turned on, but a very cool product none the less! -VanDy
  11. I thought we are supposed to use NOS energy drinks for a fuel additive??? Now you're telling me diesel? Guess I've been doing it wrong.... -VanDy
  12. That probably would have helped a ton.. Good luck! -VanDy
  13. That sucks... I'm guessing it was CMH? -VanDy
  14. You should've read the signs and put it in its own crate first!! But yeah, I used to deal with TSA all the time, did you get a supervisor or manager (suit) involved while you were there? That helps your chances 10fold! I just may have the number to the coordination center depending on what airport it was at so you can talk to the TSA manager or FSD.... -VanDy
  15. Cars movie is totally different! Lol but nice reference, I mean no thank you! Because is opposite land that means thank you! -VanDy
  16. Hopefully KTM-Brian helps this all make sense. I think he's the best at explaining it. -VanDy
  17. I think you mean "push left go left" Push left (turning handle bars to the right) increases lean (and turn) to the left -VanDy
  18. Who needs Keith code? We have Keith Stone! -VanDy
  19. You in fact did not watch the twist 2 video at all then... I think I read earlier that you learned not to break in snow while in the cage only took you 2 or 3 times? You may not have 2 or 3 times on a bike... If you ABSOLUTELY NO WAY OR HOW, make a MSF course work then learn to read, read twot2, and watch the video seriously..... I'm starting to think troll??? -VanDy
  20. This is where I hope some of the more experienced riders chip in and keep me honest.... Body lean will not make the bike turn significantly through a turn at all... Counter steering does, as Keith code says counter steering always works.... You "turn" the bar to the left the bike leans right and the front tire the. Steers into the turn, need more lean? Counter steer again. Seriously rewatch the idea.. I broke it up into sections and practices one part at a time... -VanDy
  21. Just wondering if you tried to turn the handle bars left through the corner because you thought you were going slow enough or something, and counter steering took over????? -VanDy
  22. Really stupid question for you exarch..., how do you steer into a corner? I mean what forces do you put into the handle bars? -VanDy
  23. Didn't read the whole thing so if it's a repost , well too bad! Twist of the wrist 2, book and DVD... -VanDy
