Sounds like outside of Maumee State Forrest there isn't much in terms of trails.

Howdy from Oregon and Bono! Thank you for the lead.

I really want to get a dual sport (XR650L) and ride trails. Problem is, I live near Toledo and everything seems paved or off limits to bikes within 2 hours.

I don't have the time or availability for taking all weekend to go somewhere and ride. I want to get on the bike and spend the afternoon on trails.

Help if you can!

Bikes fit different people at different times. Economics, age, location, etc. all determine what one rides. I respect people who ride. What they ride simply doesn't matter.

I loose a little respect for the ones who buy a particular brand to fit in to some sort of club but don't really ride. That bugs me.

Rode for a couple in NW Ohio and was thinking the same thing. I had a Harley rider tell me today that it was just "a little brisk". Hmmmm.

He hasn't gotten his bike out and rode it yet. That is very confusing to me. It's like owning horses and leaving them in a barn.
