wow...my cbr got up to 255 in cbus one time. I was in the middle of traffic and had nowhere to go to shut it off. she still runs fine...

I would rather have a beater bike to do the riskier stuff as a first time wheelie guy. I have laid my bike down before and watched it go sliding past me, sparks and all. I really dont want that to happen again if I can take reasonable measures to prevent it. If I have a beater bike with a cage on it or something simliar, I really couldnt give two shits if it gets scratched up.

Yeah I smashed my Jeep into a pole this winter and convinced the insurance company that I bent my front axle. They paid me four grand to fix it and it ended up costing me only $400. Guess where most of the remaining money went?? New paint New exhaust Other bike goodies...etc

Yeah I just dropped a LOT of money on a nice paint job. I'm taking it easy until I get a cage or some other kind of protection.

Do you guys like Huey Lewis and the news?? Their early work was a little too New Wave for my taste. But then Sports came out in 1983, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that gives the songs a big boost.
