  1. There must have been more than 200 cars and bikes total.  The police shut down every entrance on 270 the entire way around.  I never saw a stray car on the route.

Every time we reached a major "intersection", everything became bottlenecked and the pace slowed to a crawl.

  2. It's definitely awesome riding down there, wife and I have been going the last few seasons. That place will definitely work your forearms and legs if you like getting off the bike in the corners.

Which Busa? Orange or white? If you were on the white Busa, I believe we chatted at the fuel stop in Malta ( we had the same SS jacket, I was riding the only ZX14 ) and your wife's Raider was a sweet ride too.

What I cant believe is you've only avg 3 posts a yearsince '09! Jeesh, should call you Lurka not Omega :D

I was on the Orange Busa.

Yeah, you could say I'm the ultimate lurker.  Hope to start changing that.

  3. I had a great time, and can't believe I have talked myself out of going the last two years.  The ride itself was fantastic having never ridden down there before.

It was also a good barometer of how well my PT is going on my knees (I need to do more).  Hopefully I will work myself into better shape for the next go around.

  4. I recently added full exhaust to my bike. Once again, Brian went out of his way to get me in the very next day.

Not only did it make great power, but it rides like stock.

    Bike is a 2008 Busa with a Yosh R-77 and a PC V.

  5. Not to be a smartass, but kill switch?

    Sent while riding

Sounds like a dead battery. Check the voltage on the battery when you get a chance.

Did you keep it on a trickle charger over the winter/early spring?

Oh, and definitely check the kill switch....

No offense taken. Sometimes these minute details are often overlooked. Alas, this is not the case.

I keep it on a trickle charger if it sits longer than a few days (and all through the winter)

  6. I am hoping you all can point me in the right direction.

After a spirited weekend of riding, I put it away to rest. This afternoon it won't start. Key on (pump cycles), clutch in, press starter button and nothing. It doesn't engage the starter.

Can you help with trouble shooting? I haven't checked the battery voltage but I will most likely pick up a new battery as I think this one is the original.

The bike is my 2008 Hayabusa.

    Thanks in advance.

  7. I figured it was about time to finally make an intro.

My name is Darren and I have lived in central Ohio for about 13 years. I am currently in Delaware.

My current stable includes both an 08 and 06 Hayabusa. The gen 2 I bought in April on 2010, and the gen 1 I inherited from my father who passed recently. I drove all the way out to San Diego to pick it up a year ago. My father was a neat guy. Probably the only person to trade a Goldwing for a Busa at the age of 60.

I hope to make some of the meets and rides later this year and am praying for a quick end to winter.
