  1. Hey gang... sorry I've been out of communication range. I just got a chance to post. I wish I was goin with you guys, but I got to work the OSU game. I was really was looking forward to seeing you all again. I know that you all will have a great time.

Please be careful and I will be praying for you all.

Hope to see you in Oct,

  2. It was truly an awesone sight and great time had by one and all. There were just over 250 bikes and all there for a great cause. It was an honor to represent OR and all those who knew of and worked with Terry.

I really enjoyed meeting everyone and traveling in our small group. It doesn't really matter about the size, at least we were there. Keep OR represented at all events.

See you next year for the Reunion Tour!

  3. Well short ride for me (and my wife), but it was by design. Great to hear y'all made it through and back ok. And, Shawn, I hear ya on how you feel. I love the group dynamics, the rides, and the outstanding organization. As well, I imagine guys have wanted to run me over, but we all stick together - very well done and much appreciated.

Also, I really like the 650 you have - very cool bike.........

    Phil

Thank Phil. It is my baby now and I hope to keep her clean and up right for as long as I own her. Whenever you want to trade, let's talk...LoL!

Hey next time, maybe you and I can stick it out together. The scenery was great from my point of view... not just a blur... still very cool.

  4. Awesome trip again! I had a blast. The 4 of us from Marysville all made it home safely. Had a little rain, but nothing too bad..at least for those of us with helmets! Darn Squids!!

It was great meeting some new people...Food was really good..temps weren't bad at all, and the roads were gravel free. It was a great day! Thanks to everyone that came out..and for those that didn't..I hope to see you on next months ride!

I still absolutely LOVE that Airhawk seat cushion I have. It is nothing but Pure comfort! Pulled into my garage at 301 miles..but that's including a little trip to delaware, then back to marysville to pick up some people that were running late. Normal route would have been about 200.

Thanks for all the planning, scheduling, and leading you do for us every month Mr. Fearless leader JCMathis. (who actually called me a Hooligan!!!)

Yes, thank you JCMathis. Your hard work really paid off for me. I was 200 miles of pure white knuckle fun. Can't wait to see where you guys go next. See you then.

  5. Well, I finally made it home after hitting that nice little down pour right out side of Newark on 161. I want to say thank you to all my brothers who made it out. I really enjoyed the trip. I'm officially a "city boy." Those curves on 60 were a trip. It may be a while for me to do that again. My rear end is still puckered and stuck to the seat.

I want send to a big "shout-out" to Ben aka danballa. He was extremely patient with me. I couldn't have made it without him. So Thank You very much Ben. Trust me, I know there were a few places where you just wanted to take off. Next time lunch is on me.

And Thank You to all of YOU. No one made me feel stupid, "slow" or out of place based on my skill level. This was truly a wonderful fellowship and new found brotherhood.

Don't know what else to say, but thank God everyone made it back safe.

    Till we meet again.

  6. Okay, sounds like I will have to get off of work a bit earlier, but I'm sure that I can make it. If I cannot meet at the church, is there a place where I can catch up? Have you come up with a route yet?

Never mind, I think I found it. It was on the main page. Let me know if that route changes. Thx.

  7. I have to admit that Rick Roush is a stand up guy. He makes sure that if there any problems or issues that cannot be settled by his staff, he will get involved. I bought my 650GSXF from them last year and Scott was the best. He keeps me up to date on all the extras that I purchased. They beat every price from here and all over the state.

One thing that I have noticed is that they are now putting expiration dates on all of their forms and cards. Be sure to check them out.

I'm glad that things worked out. No harm... no foul.

  8. Don't know if this was posted, but Sunbury Road from Morse Road to Airport Drive. There are a ton of pot holes on both sides of the street. Be careful, tons of loose asphault and dirt.

Just a suggestion/question.. is there a way to have a Google map showing these bad areas? I know as this thread continues to grow, we might be repeating some locations. Also this would be a great way to visualize our routes in one location.

This might be a great new feature for the new Ohio-Rides website.

  9. What a great idea and write up Rod38um. Like most, I usually end up carrying my jacket. The GSX65F has a decent helmet lock, but on those hot days we get in Columbus, I will be trying the jacket lock. Thanks for the idea.

Like some have already posted, you migh make a pretty penny making up some of these and selling them. You know we are a instant gratification society. Not so much lazy, but we want everything NOW.

    Great Job and Thanks,

  10. Love the shirt! Wonder if it will work with all of those people who cannot even read? We already know that they can't drive! I like knocking off the mirrors best. They don't seem to be using them anyway.

    Be safe out there.

  11. I like to layout. It seems to load a bit faster and it looks "SLIMMER". The new features allow for new info and better tracking of friends and members. I am also in favor with the way your postings are formatted and display to the right of the avatar. Makes for cleaner reading and easier to follow. Looks and feels great.

  12. Man, I am so glad to hear that you are okay. I did the same thing ealier this summer at Morse and Hamilton Roads. Good to know that you are a strong believer in GEAR. That's the only way to ride. I am still healing from road rash. Keep your head up and remember... "chicks dig scars...!"

  13. Uhm, I wouldn't bank on that, for MOST items you need to have an associated accident for insurance coverage (exception is glass claims)... additionally, if there is no repair or the repair is less than your deductible you'll be responsible for the amount.

MPH is up by me! Let me know when you're going if you want to take it for a shakedown ride after.

I've heard good things about these guys (FYI they are RIGHT across the street from State 8, definitely worth stopping next door to take a look at what they got for sale).... they wanted a bit too much for dyno, reject, and kit but you pay for what you get :)

Anyway, let me know if you want to go for a small ride up here after you get it fixed

Hey Likwid, I am sorry for the delay in my response, but I have been trying to get my plastics and exhaust repairs done so I can get back on the road.

As for the straightening... I am still trying to find the time to make an appointment, it has been a very long summer already.

When I get things squared away, I will give you a call for the shake down ride. Thanks for your help.

So far, the responses that I have received are telling me that it is worth trying to see if the straightening will work. If and when it does, I will be happy.

This has been a nice little summer project that I hope to soon have done.

    Talk to you soon,

    Xfader
