Just FYI.....Mike from Mike Ward Racing in Pataskala hooked it up on the 5 gal drum of Q16. He has a nice shop and was super nice guy. Not to mention, his coke machine, has beer in it. That is awesome!

I am a subjobber for VP fuels. I keep Q16 in stock in 5gal containers.
it's $85/5gal pal. I have to get it from my storage, so you can pick it up on your way to the track if u let me know u want it. Just give me a couple of hours notice.
Mike
Mike, sent you a PM.
Thanks, Jason

Thanks man!

Pics? Specs, suspension setup etc, please.
All in here, it is a long list. When it went 10.10@152 last year, I couldn't go past 30psi. It also had some 5 yr old tokico shocks and ground control coilovers on it. It now has full Omni drag coilovers on it. I was also on a stock honda mission when it went those times. The car is now getting a dog box to stop breaking gears. Car is also for sale:

Thanks guys. I will call them tomorrow. I am trying to hit National Trail tomorrow evening for TT.

Does anyone know who stocks VP Q16 race gas in/around columbus/Dublin area?
Iron Pony only sells C16 and the track doesn't have any either.
Thanks.

10.10@151 with the clutch slipping.
or
10.90@141 on street tires and pump gas.
2000 civic, street driven.

Still trying to get off work that day to make it. I will be at the IFO race this weekend as long as nothing breaks on the dyno tonight.

FYI, the J12 jumper does not need to be cut on all chipped OBD1 ecus. Cutting it helps improve communication through the CN2 datalogging port.
Ignitor wiring:
YEL/GRN = Ignition input control
BLK/YEL = Power
WHT/BLU = Primary output control
BLU = Engine speed output
Have you tested the chipped ECU in another car?

I guess I need a lanyard kill switch in addition to the OEM push-button switch.
Is that based on ET or Speed....or just all bikes in general? I have never ran the bike at the track, but my turbo car had to get kill switch, chute, cage, etc. I am out of the loop on bike rules.
-
I searched but wasn't sure, what kind of dyno do you use?
-
As others have said, check the valves and also confirm the jetting as well. Ever since moving to this state, my bike sucks at cranking in the cold. Need to make some jetting changes.
-
I want to run the CBR tomorrow, but I dont have a killswitch yet and the weather looks crappy.
Are you talking stock OEM kill switch, or something extra that is needed to race your bike at the track?

How is the prep on that track? I have never been there, but usually take my turbo car to National Trails. Will have a bike soon so I will probably take that down there too, but haven't been to Kil-kare yet.

Nope, not yet. He rides dirt bikes and BMX. But, hopefully he will get his own bike some day. Kids, work and everything else in life take up a lot of our time.
What a loser!

Nice man. Briarcliff and Pusheta are open this weekend. I will be at one, not sure which yet though.

Iron Pony sucks at keeping it in stock and most of the VP stuff is transitioning to Q16 too. It works just as well and smells better.

Err....yeah...old slicks are 24.5x8.5x15 with about 20 passes on them. New are 25x9x15 Toyos on Weld wheels.
-
I am trying to make it to the track soon and I have to get my old slicks removed and new ones installed. Where can I get this done...preferably Dublin, Westerville, NW Columbus area.
Thanks!

Wish I could have made, would have picked up some goodies looking at all the results. Turned out to have some nice prizes.

I would say negative on the tuning. Do some more mods before you spend the loot on tuning.

The Procharger claims 70-75% with their HO kit and nothing else (no stand alone engine management, exhaust, cams etc.) That would put me at about 297hp. The Vortech claims they dynoed a stock Type R with their HO kit at 298hp/175tq. The main difference between the kits being the style of intercooler and not having to run oil lines with the Procharger. I can get the Procharger for $4100 but that leaves the visible intercooler. I don't know that hiding the intercooler is worth the $700 more that the Vortech would cost. Niether of those systems REQUIRE Hondata although it would be best. Hondata is gonna cost me another $1000. (ECU, chiping, S300, Tune) I have no clue what/where to look at to compare turbo kits. I would assume that with $1000 in cams, $1000 in exhaust, $1000 in intake, and $1000 in Hondata I might make close to 250-275 if I went NA which leaves me short of my goal..
With that high compression and a blower that creates a ton of heat....running that thing with no good engine management (Hondata, AEM, Motec, etc.) is just asking for problems. I would turbo the car for sure. Best turbo kit out there...http://www.full-race.com ., Go to http://www.Honda-tech.com for a good resource site. Just read and read more before you ask questions.

That's cool...kinda odd, but cool. Also, Columbus is spelled incorrectly in your signature.(Fixed it)
Who has the quickest 4 cylinder FWD car in here?

I only ran it at the track once on street tires, didn't change the boost by gear settings from my slick settings and it went 10.90. I think tire pressure down and boost by gear dialed in, the car would go 10.5Xs or so.
