It was a "gentlemens" agreement. There was a period in time where(you were correct), cars in Japan were limited to 280hp. The R34 Skyline GT-R however was closer to 330, if I remember correctly.

Why exactly would you call it a kit car? Just because it uses a Mercedes V12? Most kit cars I know of aren't made by supercar companies(ie. Pagani), don't cost $500,000+ dollars, and don't go through the kind of R&D that the Pagani Zonda's(in all of their iterations) do. It is in fact a production car, not one that Pagani sells kits for that people can buy and make their own car.

I honestly thought the torch lighting was a bit much...I mean really, flying around the stadium? It was also hilarious when the lowered the one cable so he could "run" at an angle and the cord dropped really quickly, everyone I was with thought he was going to just fall down lol. Which of course would have been awful, so I'm glad that was not the case, but funny none the less.
