  1. get a Canyon Dancer II bar harness

    http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/4/76/13223/ITEM/Canyon-Dancer-Bar-Harness-II.aspx

Then just get 4 ratchet straps....do 2 for the bar harness and 2 coming of the rear pegs. Its pretty much how I've done every bike I've ever transported via trailer or truck. If you need help let me know since I'm right down the street

    Thanks bro.

I am still down with a flat rear tire so I'll be hauling R6 and my boy's ZX10R to MotoGP.

He's coming down next Tuesday, may be I'll just change the rear at the dealer on Monday but I can't transport it till he comes.

Do you have a van or a truck?

It'd be kinda cool to ride on Tuesday night, then I am having a lil barbecue night, you're welcome to hang out with us.

  2. how often are you going to be transporting?

canyon dancer is probably more $$ than it's worth if this is a one-time deal.

I have "soft-ties" that wrap around fork tubes and a set of 10' straps you can borrow.

But yes, Walmart brand straps are fine. The only 'feature" i would look for (or add) is clipping hooks so that they can't fall off if the suspension compresses and the straps go slack for a moment.

I have a wheel-chock you can borrow too. You'd just need to mount it on a piece of plywood that's around 1' x the width of your truck bed. that will keep the front wheel straight, and prevent it from sliding out from under itself (unlikely, but possible.)

I work at Brecksville rd. & Pleasant Valley. I can bring any and all of that stuff to work any day this week and meet you at lunch, or after work.

Dude, you're 2 mins away from my house. I am on Riverview.

It'd be awesome if I can borrow for MotoGP, as it would be a one time deal.

  3. I am in Brecksville and local Yamaha dealer wants $80 to change timers per wheel.

I only paid $100 for slightly used tires and really don't wanna shell out $160 for service.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

I gotta garage and a compressor but I am still a bike newb!

    Thanks in advance!

  4. I part own a computer company myself and had a brief business dealing with Doug. He seemed like an honest and stand up guy. This story breaks my heart and I was involved in the accident myself (stupid teen pulled out at the light in front of me while I was doing 40mph) and buddy of mine crashed and nearly died popping a wheelie at 80mph. I live and ride in Brecksville and this is just yet another horrific reminder that we gotta keep the RUSH under control, so hard though!

Prayers go out to Doug's family.

  5. Hey guys,

I live on Riverview in Brecksville and every Wednesday I hear a lot of bikes going by my house. Is there a special weekly meet?

I love to ride so I am trying to meet other riders to ride in groups as riding solo is getting old.

Any info on bike meets and events around Cleveland would be appreciated.

    Regards,

    Misha

  6. What he didn'tsay is that his loaner R6 came from the best guy in the world who also had Rubino (35Motorsports) install the full GP Suspension kit in the forks and a Penske 8987 shock on the back. It also has a full Graves exhaust and is too much for a DJ to gt back to riding on.

    :)

There is my man Chris :) I should post pix of your bike here at some point.

  7. Myself, Johnnyboy and CaptainKeyes are leaving from Cleve on Thursday night. Staying in Greenfield, just outside of Indy. This will be our third year riding there.

I was there last year too. Buddy of mine lives @ Indy and rides a 999R heavily modded. Needless to say I had a blast so trying to make plans to go again. I'll PM you if I go.

  8. Thanks guys! Yeah I've been riding in Metroparks a lot, as well as entire CLE area and by now I know every single tree in Metro from Brecksville to the Rocky River.

I had a Kawi a long time ago but now ride my buddy's track R6 bike. He's gotta Duc 999R with 70K into it so he doesn't mind if I abuse this toy.

Anyone going to MotoGP this year? I went last year and had a blast with bunch of friends.

Anyway, after I crashed my zx7r few years back, it sure feels great to ride again! Looking forward to enjoying what's left of summer.

Lastly, are there any bike gatherings on Wednesdays?

    Cheers!
