  1. people would have to be very trusting of the general public in order to leave a gun in their saddle bags, unless if they are hard permanent mounted lockable ones. if it is a place that does not allow guns and I am carrying, I just make sure it is extremely well hidden under a jacket, or in my ankle holster... for all they know, i am simply wearing a leg brace under my jeans...
  2. the law used to be screwy... it used to say that if you have a handgun permit you can carry while on a motorcycle, but the firearm must be at least partially visible in the event that you get stopped by a LEO... it made no sense considering the permit was for concealed carry.
  3. the ccw reciprocity is constantly changing... when i would go on vacation a few years back, there were states that I could legally carry in, but now can not. depending on the next elections for governor, i am sure the reciprocity maps will change again. just keep an eye on the attorney general's website for any changes.
  4. When I went through the police academy a few years ago, the only people who could own them were LEO, military, and fire/rescue personnel; and the only people who could purchase them in the state were LEO and military. That was roughly 4 years ago. I'm not in the police work anymore, so I don't pay as much attention. Now if i want to purchase an auto opener, I just get my fire chief to write a note on department letter head with my info, to confirm I am active fire/rescue personnel.
