    MR Hurricanes

That is quite interesting. Unless you have Photoshop on your crackberry. :D

If I could Photoshop that well, I would've been riding an Aprilia RSV4 Factory today instead of the CBR!

  3. As nostalgic as all this Hurricane talk is... I've never heard such a thing... Post pics of your manual or I'm waving the bullshit flag.

The CBR1000RR and the CBR1000F,H,a few other letter designations throughout the years were always two totally different bikes. One racing focused, one touring focused. I've never heard them ever go back to the old 'Hurricane' designation. It's always been called the Fireblade.

I hardly know you guys and don't have a reason to bullsh1t you! Here's a pic of my manual shot with my Crackberry.

    Ride safe,

    Franc

  4. are you retarded? seriously? no, no they haven't.

Not to go too far off-topic but my '08 CBR1000's owner's manual says "Hurricane 1000" on the front cover with Hurricane in the old-school font from the late '80s. The "Hurricane" doesn't appear anywhere on the bike but it looks like a new Honda designation for the 1000RRs.

    Ride safe,

    Franc

  5. I'd like to thank all of you for a nice meet/greet/ride. I would definitely be interested in meeting up again for a little more technical ride but this was a great first meeting for me. Nice turnout!

    Ride safe!

  6. A few more thoughts (disclaimer: my $ .02, do what you want):

Definitely invest in some good pants with protection. Studies show that the legs are the most common location of injuries to fallen riders. Wearing knee pads under my jeans saved me from a broken knee years back.

I know people are divided on the helmet issue, but a helmet can certainly save your life in certain impact scenarios. Better still, the reduction in energy reaching your brain in lesser impacts can make the difference between a concussion and the type of mild head injury that leaves you functional but "not the same person he was before the accident".

Earplugs are cheap and make your riding much more peaceful. It's not the loud pipes but the wind noise that will eventually cause you to lose some hearing.

I'm definitely looking forward to some springtime riding!

    Ride safe,

    Franc

  7. Hi,

I'm gonna head over to the festival tonight on Mayfield. Post if you're intersted and i"ll keep an eye out for you or just look for my yellow/blue CBR1000.

I checked it out last night and they let bikes park on Mayfield from the Euclid side. You can just drive through the street closure and should see the bikes on the right as you head down from Euclid.

    Ride safe,

    Franc

  8. I'm right in the center, downtown near the Warehouse District. Let me know of any good roads on the east side. I'm not looking to break the sound barrier, just looking for some nice techncal twisties!

    Ride safe!

    -Franc

Welcome. Where you at in Cleveland, East or West?

I ride around the east side all the time. Sometimes I head south or East into Pa. It all depends on who, what, where and when.
