  1. After not having my bike now for a couple years now i may as well unload some of my riding gear.  So before i go the Craigslist, Ebay Facebook scrub pages i figure i would let you guy have first crack. None of this gear has hit the ground.  As far as shipping goes i will cover it of its less than $10. More than that what do you say we split it 50/50. Pick up or Paypal is fine.

    -AGV Sport 2 pc. suit Sz.52   $80.00

    • I bought it off of someone on here but for the life of me cant remember their name.  Im 6'1" and last time i wore it i was 220 lbs and it fit good. The elastic on the top of the pant doesnt hold but it fully zips to the jacket.  This will get you on the track. New pucks.

-Joe Rocket leather jacket  Sz. XL  $100

    • I bought it new but it was big in the chest and waist so i didn't wear it much.

-Alpinestars SP-1 Gloves  Sz. Large  $25

    • I bought new and wore these for a couple years and you can see the wear on them. No holes thru but as you can see the grey leather in the thumb is worn (both gloves).

-Sidi Vertigo Boots Sz. EUR. 46 US. 11.5  $100

    • Bought these new as well.  The soles show some wear but the uppers are in good condition.  Zippers and twist lock do-hickeys on the back work fine.

Here is a pic of my 77 Midget when i brought it home last summer.  The previous owner let it sit for 10-ish years.  Im not doing a full restoration or anything. Rebuilt the carb and got the wiring squared away and it runs great.  Recently i just got around to replacing the hydraulic systems (clutch and brakes).  Ive been having a hell of a time bleeding the clutch. Once i get that going right and the new exhaust hooked up i should be able to drive it under its own power.  This spring im hoping to be tooling around town in it.

Im not an MG fan and only picked this car up because i didnt have any "toys" and it was cheap.

  3. Im working on a '77 MG Midget.  Thank god i have access to all i need at work. Parts washer, bead blaster, bigger oven to PC parts than i have at home and a full machine/fab shop at my disposal.

Parts washer are nice to knock most of the heavy loose grim off before blasting but i dont think i would want to deal with one at home.  At home i just shoot brake cleaner on the part over a bucket and scrub a little with a brush. I have a hard enough time getting rid of used motor oil in a timely fashion and thats just running it up to the parts store.

My father in law had one he was going to give me. It was old as hell and if i remember right you could hook it up to an air line and the basket inside would move up and down to kinda wash the parts for you.  I do remember it weighted a fuck ton and i didnt want to move it.

  4. Sounds like your just looking for a fun 5 speed to drive. Maybe it's because if owned a few but foxbody Mustangs are fun to drive and can be had cheaply. Which leaves more for go fast parts. The last one i owned was a "toy".  Which means when driven i was not kind to it. Not abused but for sure beat on. If i where to do it again i would find a clean notchback.  Now you got me thinking............Finish the MG,sell it and buy a stang.

  5. All trucks have their problems. Its basically which ones do you want to potentially deal with.  Having my Titan for a couple years now would i buy another.......yes compared to other trucks in that class and model year range. If your looking at Titan's go for '08 and up. Unless you can get a good deal on previous model years. Only because of the front drive assembly issue in pre-'08 trucks. Cracked exhaust manifolds is a problem as well that i don't think they ever got away from. All the other problems have mostly been taken care of with recalls. Really other than that they have been the same truck with very minor styling changes until now.

  6. What he is wanting done is pretty easy compared to wheels i have done before.  I personally made the wheels for this out of solid billet aluminum.  Definatley one of the cooler parts i've made before and makes going into work easier when working on stuff like this.  The best part if it was having to freedom to process and machine them how i wanted to. Basically here's a print and there's the material.....make it happen.

  7. Are you a machinist? This job would be a nightmare on a lathe. Exactly where would you chuck it? ID chuck the cush drive bore? Good luck indicating it true. Unless you have a monster lathe that can chuck 16 inches OD or however big this wheel is you're gonna have a hell of a time holding it, and even then you still have to indicate it true in both x and z axis AND not crush/otherwise Marr the bead surface of the rim. I guess if you had a lathe dog you could drive it by one of the spokes, but who even has one of those anymore? And you'd still have to find a live and dead center big enough to register the bearing bore without getting in the way of your tooling.

Yes i am a machinist . As far as were or how i would hold onto it (without having seen the other side) i would most likely start by chucking on the O.D. and see where that got me. The reason i would go with this on a lathe is that with him being worried about material thickness i would be shooting for minimum clean-up on all machined surfaces. That and the floor of the pocket doesn't look flat and i would be willing to bet that the walls have some sort of draft to them being that its a casting.

  8. I'm going to assume there are bluegill to catch along with perch. Those would be the easiest/cheapest to gear up for and catch. Wax worms and bobbers for bluegill and emerald shiners for perch fished straight off the edge of your boat (perch jerkin).

Walleye you would need to troll or drift fish. Trolling does take some know how and alot more equipment. Drift fishing for them isn't so bad. Just float along letting the wind or current move you along. When drifting I like to run a bottom bouncer and worm harness on one pole and cast a hair jig or some type of blade type lure on the other.

With all that being said I have never fished in NY and the above applies to my time/experience on Lake Erie and lake Michigan. Ever though about taking a charter to fish?
