  1. I love the sv, I've got a y2k, naked...Fantastic machines. Mine has the now unavailable Fox shock, and racetech-ed forks. It's got better suspension that my ducati. I also have a staintune exhaust. I'm actually thinking about selling it as I just don't ride it that much anymore...not sure what they are going for, but I imagine $2,800 is a good starting point...It's located in Mentor, OH.

  2. I'm not a bit surprised at it's 11k axing price...That's what my guess was...I'll probably pick one up as a leftover..although I'm betting Honda is just testing the waters..they probably won't import many, and it may even be a special order type deal - with the current economic turmoil, I'm sure dealerships won't order many, if any, as they know they likely won't sell at that price.

I expect it to be upwards of 11 large - Hence, like the 599 before it (also built in Italy), it probably won't sell. I expect, again, like the 599, a very short life in the states. Unfortunately, that means I'll have to buy one..WOOHOO!!!

  3. More than enough power for me..I'm more concerned with the handling and track prowess. Also, this thing's not going to be cheap, remember, it's built in Italy and the US Dollar isn't the healthiest...I expect it to be upwards of 11 large - Hence, like the 599 before it (also built in Italy), it probably won't sell. I expect, again, like the 599, a very short life in the states. Unfortunately, that means I'll have to buy one..WOOHOO!!!

Please see Bike Magazine, January 2010. 109.7 RWHP @9600 RPM, 68.7 LB FT @ 7,400 RPM. That's unless they made big changes to the bike they're bringing to the US. I think that what they're bring US is pretty much what they've been selling in Europe & the UK for the last couple of years. Honda obviously think that naked riders are more docile than the full on sportbike crowd.
