I currently use Cell-Tech Hardcore by Muscletech and i works good for me but can get expensive if your boys are serious about their lifting routines. It has never caused any problems for me just be sure to drink LOTS of water. massnutrition.com is the cheapest place I have found to get it.

I have a Ruger SR9 9mm for my CCW gun and I love it. 17 round mag, nickel finish and only $450 new. although the trigger takes a minute to get used to.

If you are sure of a 45 cal. Springfield XD and Smith M&P models are both very nice, and DEPENDABLE for the money. I have shot both models in 45 cal. and I would trust my life on there accuracy and dependablity.
