  1. I never expected to have to write something like this.

My friend and fellow rider Dough Strogh was killed last night on I77 in brecksville. Him and another rider were involved in an accident with a car last night around 11:20pm details have not been released. He was a good guy and was willing to help with anything weather my bike needed something or my computer. (he owned PC Geeks on Wheels in Wadsworth, Ohio)

you will be missed thoughts and prayers for your friends and family.

    :rip:

  2. the r6 so far is the most uncomfortable from sitting on them( I have problems on long rides with my hips cramping). I would buy another zx9 but really want a fuel injected bike. yes the ones I am looking at all have aftermarket parts on them hence the price range. I have been leaning toward the R1 or ZX10 mainly do to the fact that I am fat and dont feel like raping a 600 to get going, plus I really miss the feel of my zx9 and a 600 even a newer one wont compare. I have also been considering the triumph 955i but don't know anything about them. Thanks for your thoughts and opinions guys. I have ridden a R1 to columbus and back in one day and it was not uncomfortable. I have a long torso and long arms so anything I am on I can ride up-right for the most part.

  3. So I was supposed to move to vegas this year and well thats not happening. I am now in the market for a new bike(new to me at least).

    Here are my stats.

    6'3" 220lbs been riding for 8 years everything from a 250r-tl1000s

Riding style: aggresive but not stupid, group rides, solo exploration

so here is what i am considering

    2007 R6

    2006 R1

    2006 GSXR 750

    2006 zx10

    2005 cbr 600rr

all have between 5000-8000 miles all in the $5000-$7000 Price range.

My bikes have all been mid to late 90's models and I'm not so up to date on newer sportbikes. just wondering with my size and riding style what do you guys and gals think will be the best choice?

  4. If we do it the 24th I am in, was supposed to move to vegas but the fiancee left without me so i am buying a new bike next weekend and well no better way to start the season than with the OR peeps and some good food.

  5. Just another thought maybe a mid 60's chevy II nova small lighter then other cars of its time and well an unlimited in expensive list of aftermarket for the sbc. Not sure if you are building a drag car or a fun weekend toy but it would work well for both applications.

  6. The problem isn't that there aren't jobs its that you stuck up bastards worn't work for $8-$10 /hr you al say I am not going to work for that little my last job paid $12-$16/ hr or more well news flash 8-10 is alot better the sitting on your ass's bitching about not having a job. no 8-10 may not cover all your bills but it will cover some of them. Maybe we wouldn't have the credit crisis and people wouldnt lose their houses if they would put their pride aside and work a lower paying job then they had. I had to take a pay cut of $6/hr this spring but I am not bitching about not being able to fnd a job I found one making $9/hr no it doesn't pay everything but at least I am not in danger of losing my house. suck it up you over paid babies.

  7. downpipe

    uppipe

    turboback

    boost controller

    cobb ap

    brakes

    tires

    and most important "TUNE IT"

a tune alone on a stock car will see 20 hp increase bettter tq curve and fuel economy. that is if you keep it out of boost 70% of the time which isnt hard if you have self control

  8. Well bike is gone no longer riding for the year, but wife said when we get to Vegas I can buy whatever bike I want so I see a new r1 or cbr1000 coming next season, that or a really nice car thinking something with an H6 and turbo's

  9. I personally subcontract at 45/hr plus when we have storms I just drive around town

nice thing about it is the guy supplies the salt, truck will go for 11 hrs on a tank of gas @ 80 bucks and well subtract that from 495 and you make about 400 every time it snows I can even get you in contact with the company I sub off of

as far as the insurance thing goes

I was paying 360/yr through state farm with 1mill liability policy not much to cover your ass

I've been doing it for 4 yrs now and after all expenses I clear 10k a year average so not bad at all when laid off over the winter but now that I am working at verizon I don't have the time to be going out and plowing.

  10. Ok I have a few things to get rid of here

    first

96 scag commercial walkbehind mower hydro, new 26 hp briggs extended life engine less than 100 hrs on it, hydro fluxh at begining of season not pretty but functions perfect

    $1800

    second

2000 Dodge Ram 2500 1 ton v-10 109k miles 8ft meyers poly plow, sald dogg 340lbs spreader minor rust on rockers everything works great in shop getting new exhaust manifold so no leaks. or anything have had no trans issues new front end components march 2010 4wd works perfectly reg cab power seat windows locks rear slider truck is a beast

$6500 truck kbb private party is 5500 without plow and spreader

I average about 10k dollars a season plowing so truck will pay for its self over the winter

Reason for selling is we are moving to las vegas over the winter and shutting down business.

    thanks for looking

  11. I work for Verizon wireless retailer so the 5gb data plan on it only costs me $15.00/ month and my cable is $40.00/ month she will be streaming video on laptop via the tether with her droid the netbook if more for my work and some surfing but thank you for the advice. Plus when we move this winter we wont have to worry about getting new net when we get into new house which is 2000+ miles from here. and all they have there is cox.....
