  1. This is an old post but I have been there, but personaly I don't think I would want to park my bike out there. When I went there was 2 16 or 17 year old punks and there skank girlfreinds there smashing bricks off of the top of the tunnle. After seeing the 8" blade on my survivle knife they didn't say 2 words to me but I still made sure I got back to my truck before they had a chance to get to there car that was parked infront of mine.

All and all the place is cool, I have a ton of pics on my phone still. And since its just down the road go check out the hope furnace. it has a haunted passed as well, including a gaurd that fell into melting iron. They say one stormy nights you can see him still gaurding the place. Fun part is I camped at lake hope when I went. The night I seen the furnace and the tunnle(Saturday) it stormed like mad. I didn't go down there because it was raining way to hard but I could see the field that's around the furnace threw a clearing for power lines. It was a fun trip, id be up for doing it again!

  2. Hi, my names shawn. I've got an 01 ninja zx6r. I've had it for about 4 months and I love it. I've been riding for a few years and I used to ride mx bikes as a kid. I found out about this site from ninjascott(real cool guy btw). I hope to get to know a few people and find some nice places to ride as well as cool people to ride with. Well thank you guys for reading and god bless.

  3. Here's a step-by-step assessment of possibly the dumbest post i've seen in the oven

    1) He's not doing that motor swap, it was a joke. I hope in time you'll see what an idiot you've been.

    2) It matters because 99% of 240 owners say "yeah this summer I'm throwing an RB26 in there" then never do it.

    3) Yes, everyone does.

    4) We feel the need to criticize you because you're quick to label Honda owners as ricers. In fact, most of the recent 240 drivers that have registered on CR are drift-king wannabe bitches that are complete fucking tools, whereas we have many respectable Honda owners that produce great performance numbers. You have yet to break the mold.

    5) We usually do encourage new builders and their plans, but only when they are actually new builders and their plans are more extensive than throwing around some engine codes on a forum.

    6) Most importantly, he IS better than you. You're at the bottom of the food chain here, get used to it.

    7) Just gonna quote this for irony:

fake edit: also change your username to something other than "WickedRacer". i have to deal with enough stupid south shore fratboys throwin "wikked pissah' keggah's" and you're not even close to a wicked racer.

    Damn, I forgot an "o'.

Just for the record, I have never made a plane that didn't follow though. If I say I'm going to do something I do it.

And again, most of the typical Honda's you see on the road are ricers, and you know that.

As far as the "drift king" thing go's, yes it is fun to do, but do I really wanna tear up my car.......not really. And the reason I say "next summer" is because I have nothing better to do in the winter than build a motor, and do to the fact that I will be spending less money on having fun in the winter ables me to concentrate more in the motor build. Make since?

And maybe I didn't catch the whole joke with the 2jz thing, you never know what some people do with there car's, like putting an LS1 in a 240, leave thous things to the muscle guys.

  4. I would research the KA-T idea, it's a little more realistic and is just as good as the SR20. I mean it may be "cool" to say you have an RBxx or a SR20, but why go through all that hassle when you could build what you have and have something that is just as good? RESEARCH!...look for stuff that is budget built. I really like 240sx's b/c they are excellent platforms, they suit almost all budgets in some way.

Funny, because the KA-T build is what I'm going to go with.

  5. I'm doing a 2jz swap in the wrx. Do you know why your etting shit? EVERY I mean EVERY RICER has a swap thats about to be done. Every ricer also has jack for performance mods.

If your doing a motor swap, doesn't that make you a rice boy?

So the f*ck what I want to do a swap, what does it really matter?

Don't some of you have things you would like to do to your car? Why do you feel that you need to criticize someone that is just getting started in this whole thing? Why not encourage new builders and there plans? And most importantly, why do most of you think your better than everyone?

Some f you people make NO since.

  6. you do not know much about nissans then, to even know what a 240 is or the history behind nissan/datsun to say only the skyline and z are the only good ones lol that sounds like a typical rice fan boy,

I have a 240sx that will suck the doors off your mustang:) kekekeke shawn hopfully the block I gave you will help you out in your build good luck.

I know that block it going to change a few minds on this site come next summer. Thanks.

The reason I bash on Honda's is because the fact that everyone has them and 99% of them are so loud, I don't even see how they can stand it drive it. Not to mention most of them you see on the road every day can't out run a snail. I know there are a few fast Honda's running around. I have seen a few that I did like.

    01stang.

Have you seen many cars that can be ragged out there whole life and still turn 300,000 miles as a Nissan or even Toyota can? And also, I normally don't think I am better or anything I have is better than anyone els, but I will say this time that 240's are much better than most Honda's.

And a funny story that took place last saturday.

I was going down 270 with me and 2 other people in my car(adding up 2 around 600Lbs). Some guy in about an 89 mustang 5.0 wanted to race me(why he thought we was cool racing a little stock 4cyl. I don't know). So I doped down to 4th and we both took off, surprisingly that 5.0 didn't leave me, and I have 2 people that will back me on this. I'm willing to bet that if I was by myself I would have stayed right on his doors, and he was alone.

But, I'm betting that was one ragged out 5.0. Because there's no reason he shouldn't have blown my doors the hell off.

Anymore comments about my car that I really don't care about?

  7. my rb is cooler arh arh arh, rb's do sound good mmmmmmm, steve ill help you with the rb swap, like i said you can come over sunday and see my rb in person.

HAHA dude you could at least get my name right lol it's Shawn.

  8. Ok, I'll make you guy's a deal. I'll take off the yellow hoses if I still have the stock black ones, but the gauges have to stay, and I'll tell you why. 1 I'm not going to piss away the money that I spent on them any more than I already have. 2 I had to cut my a piller plastic to fit the pod in, and I'm not about to drive around with a half ass a piller plastic nor do I really wanna sertch forever to find the matching one when I'm going to have to cut that one as soon as I go turbo. Make since?
  9. i love the sound of a supercharger, don't see them around everyday, especially on a 4liter (i mean 4 banger)

i don't wanna doupt it sounds good, im just a guy who rather hear the engine than the exhaust, unless of course if it a big block or 6.0 etc. is why im afraid of changing my stock catback, even though it is 2.5, yet some of the bends it gets smaller. im drive down high everyday, i dont wanna be know as the guy with the loud exhaust. it has an awesome deep crackle to it even letting off the pedal at even 3k rpms, not as good as gto of course, but its suprising. but be at some meets man i honestly would love to hear it, im not here to bash you if i sounded like i did

Yeah, I can't say that I don't like the sound of a supercharger, and you can't beat the low end they give. Im just a turbo though, you gotta wait, but in the end its worth it if you know what I mean.

I would go to a few of the meets but if I'm not ever able to view the rest of the forums I'll never be able to.

Btw I live off high, just probably farther south than where you go.

  10. man you can prolly hear this 10 miles away, especially catless and no resonator. i wont even put a 3in catback on mine, think its useless youve got 300+hp.

I have a resistor. I would gladly meet you some where just so you can see how it sounds.

  11. Oh boy! I bet my stock "Honda" sounds better and is faster than you're nissan. You do realize with that big of piping you're probably losing power right? Or does the silencer hold it back up again so you have SOME backpressure...

I'm willing to bet yours is faster. being a 05 it does not have the millage mine has therefore it is probably at it's peak power. You also have at least a 2.0 right? You have to admit that most of the Honda's you see are loud as hell and sound like a pissed off bumble bee, you know that as well as I do.

Like I said before. I did not order the pipes that big. I ordered a 2.5 and they sent me 3". So I said the hell with it I'm just going to keep it on there because I wasn't about to spend more money to have it shipped back and wait another 3 weeks to get it back. And one more thing. as I said before. In Modified mag, there was a 95 ka24de just like mine with the same set up I have and it got very good results with it, that being another reason I didn't send it back. And the silencer is not in it anymore.

  12. I know what they are capable of - I was kidding. But I will say, how many people that talk about doing a swap actually do it? Yep - not many. For most they are better off starting with a more powerful car. They will end up spending more than necessary to get it built. I have all of the respect in the world for someone who tackles one of these swaps and does it right. It is just easy to talk about all of the cool stuff you are going to do to your car.

That's why I'm not setting the bar to high for myself. I know better.

All I'm saying is give me and my car a living chance in hell, and I'm willing to bet that by the time I'm done with it at least a few of you will be impressed.

Hell, now I'm not sure if I want to do the RB swap, might just go with a built KA. It would be simple, all wiring is all the same as what I have now. No reason I can't pull that off.
