  1. meh ammo has been insane since the rush on it during the  Obama "scare", and it has never gone back down.   still have your ammo and guns though!

  2. Olympia airglide jacket. Size 3xl. Unsure if I have the liner, but will look for it. Has back, shoulder and elbow pads, neoprene neck li er. nice jacket... Will fit a 50 chest, maybe a little more.

A little dirty will clean up, but in good shape no wrecks or anything, just sitting taking up space.   40 bucks pickup or can have it shipped, probably less than $10. In SW burbs of CLE.  OBO. Thanks!

  3. The german stuff its cheap because it already has issues or its soon to bite you on the backend after the sale.

If you have any semblance of a "budget", please don't buy old ish/ high mileage german, especially obscure stuff... unless its a backup car.   Its a cool ride till its finicky and/or always broken and that gets old reaaaalllly fast.

Also... A4, 3 series all the lower rung stuff is pretty meh to drive, not worth the hassle,...just go Acura, Lexus, SI, or a focus/fiesta ST or something. Even a nice Accord sedan/coupe with a 6 cylinder will really hustle and be around a long long time.

  6. I've bought bikes/cars with liens.  Bikes I have paid off the loan locally at credit union and they have handed the title right over... thats no big deal at all.

Car loans... a ton of people have them and sometimes you have to work with it and big lenders do not have title locally or have to do an Etitle. I have done notarized contracts stating that once the lien is released the buyer will obtain the title and then transfer it to me... and you also take possession of vehicle just to have some collateral.

Honestly you just have to feel the seller out... if they bend over backwards to do the deal and don't put up any roadblocks you usually are OK. If they put up any resistance at all or something does not add up just walk away.   People think I are nuts for doing this, but when you save at least 5k over the dealer a little more legwork is worth it.

  7. I considered an ST1300 for a long long time. My bikes seemed to be getting bigger/heavier and I had been doing longer trips less and less.... I thought the ST was great, shaft drive, big V4... big adjustable electric screen.  Its a quick comfy bike... but I got a couple rides in on one and I realized it was just huge and very heavy... I adjusted towards smaller/lighter and haven't looked back.  If you want to burn through states it would be great... just to putz around on the weekend... eehhhh

  8. Coworker picked up a 2017 - 7 seater sorrento for in the low 20s. It's a nice enough rig and I trust Kia over GM or VW.

If you really want a bargain, but I advise keeping it under warranty, but I havnt seen a lot of horror stories on new ones ... The Dodge Journey is a 7 seater and you can get those gently used for mid teens or almost loaded new near 20 / low 20s.  They also have a ton of hidden storage cubbies for kids and built in booster seats! Who knew!

  9. one more resurrection to this thread.  i'm looking at a bike from New York State. Seller has title with a lien from Yamaha, however he just recently got a notarized lien release from yamaha financial.  Will Ohio accept the title and release letter? Or should I have him apply for a clear title, which I guess might take some time in new york state. Anyone have any input? Thanks
