  1. +1. I'll keep logging in here until it dies.

I will say, if someone has the techy time to keep it going on a new platform, I'm happy to carry the cost of hosting for a couple years...

Id buy the domain name if the owners want to sell

I would have gladly stepped up, it's the time aspect that kills it for me primarily. (Likely present admins also!)

The largest issue is the time to keep everything security patched and up to date against all the security threats out there on the web. Plus the issues when something goes down and you get a million texts and such asking what happened. :gabe: (Sorry Anthony!!)

There is the touch labor aspect, licensing, etc. Who knows what this thing runs on probably phpbb on a windows xp laptop in Chris' closet. It could be unfucked easily.

  2. Nobody on ski patrol there makes any money, it's all volunteer. Your friend is either an idiot or lying, but probably both.

Ski patrol anywhere is basically a losing proportion from a cost/pay standpoint. Ski Patrols all over the west have been fighting with companies (Vail mostly?) over pay. These people can out-ski most people on the planet with a toboggan behind them, have life saving skills and often some other third significant skill like avalanche control using explosives or munitions. One place out there is fighting for starting pay of $17/hr and the company offered $15/hr. All of that skill for $15/hr in a place where $1million might get you a shack.

My mistake, he wasnt patrol, he was teaching ski lessons. Wasnt lying, id been there while he was workin.

But yeah its a losing proposition. He did get free ski passes but why the hell would you want to drive up there on your off days.

  3. People be getting covid snowboarding?

Sent from my SM-F916U using Tapatalk

No they just dont have enough staff. The owner said raising their min wage to $11.25 an hour was the largest investment they madr all year.

Plus the place is in the middle of fucking nowhere so probably difficult to attract workers

  4. White knight some maintenance *shudders* on the 135i. Weve deferred enough maint.

Por15 the underside of the TJ and drive it topless all spring/summer. Get doors, fix hard top crack.

Sell softail, re-obtain dual sport prob a crf300l if I can find one

Buy new funcar but, when mkt cools off. all the $80k covid millionaire stimulus checks run out eventually

  5. HB 197 went into place sometime in 2020 to prevent remote workers from seeking a refund from the locality where they worked, prior to covid. It basically locked you in to keep paying taxes at the address of your employer.

Fast forward to about May/June 2021, HB 157 blew a hole in that and now allows workers to declare themselves remote, retroactive to 2021.

Anyone going to claim a refund? Funny because the city of cbus tax site has reference to HB 197 and a statement about not issuing refunds for 2020, but no reference to HB 157 which essentially nullifies 197.
