Last ride a friend put together. No single track. KLR friendly.
I do a lot of that kind of riding.

Apparently not too many. Gravel/unmaintained road dual sport or B class Enduro dual sport? KLR or KTM? Seems to be two different kinds in Ohio.

A few of the ADV/dual sport folks and I are getting together for a 150ish mile gravel road ride. We'll be starting in Caldwell at the McDonalds at 10AM and riding a pretty big loop around Noble, Washington, and Monroe counties. The route is likely more suited to an old KLR, WR250R, CRF250L, etc than a V-Strom. No real singletrack, everything is marked as a road on the map, though a couple are unmaintained. We'll be stopping for lunch somewhere in Marietta. I know it's a little different style than most here ride, but just wanted to throw it out there.
2006 VStrom DL650 **Sold**

I'd like to sell my 06 VStrom 650. It does not have ABS. It does have about 21,500 miles on it and is in really great shape. I am the second owner, the previous owner never had it off pavement and kept the bike immaculately clean. I have had it on gravel several times, but not a lot. Miles will go up some.
It has a DL1000 seat (a little taller and wider that the DL650), a factory tall windshield, Mastad adjustable windshield bracket, factory hand guards, heated grips, a factory tank bra, and a factory center stand. It also has a Givi top plate and Givi racks. The bracket for an auto chain luber is mounted and the assembly is on my bench. The brake light has a module that makes the brake light flash on initial application and then once every 30 sec or so for additional visibility.
The tires are Shinko 705s with only a hundred or so miles. I reused balance beads from the Battlewings that were on it. The rims have a few touched up scratches from the PO changing the tires on a Harbor Freight changer.
The flames are 3M reflective marine grade. The PO had access to a vinyl cutter and made them. I was unsure when I first bought the bike, but they really do look good on it. There are a couple small scratches on the bike that you really have to look to find, I tried to show the worst one. I think it looks worse in the picture than in person.
I also have a set of Givi luggage for the bike. There is a V46 top case and E360 cases for the sides. The top case has a brake light in it, but the bike is not wired to connect to it. The luggage has scuffs from use and one 360 has a gouge near the bottom.
I will include the stock windshield and top plate with the bike.
I would like $3900 for the bike with racks and $4300 including the luggage ($400 is about 1/2 of new prices). If you're really interested, let me know, money talks.
Would entertain LC4, possibly LC8 trades up or down. Could be talked into trading this and a 2008 WR250R for the right bike.
