  1. Haha. Just buy me 2, i still owe you a beer. And Geza looks like he would drink anything...so maybe we can have Snot throw some roofies in his drink and steal the key.

lol hey the new bike isn't even here yet but it'll be the kawi on this trip. And I'll be watching my drinks when its out around town so don't get any ideas haha

  2. Just realized you sold it lol, you may have gotten less than Spring but you'll get a good deal on a 600 while there's snow on the ground.

Tigerpaw, I agree, there's a good market for Ninja 250s, especially early in the season. They are the perfect bike to start on and don't really have any competition in the class.

$3,500 is a good price for such low miles.

I don't agree with the above posts about the 250r being in a niche group and depreciating more than other bikes. Someone is ALWAYS looking for a "small" clean/stock bike in the spring.

  3. My first bike was a 2009 Ninja that I bought in 2010. It had 3,000 miles on it, like-new condition, and I bought it in early April right before the riding season for $2950 which was a great buy. I sold it 2 years later for $2750 with 10,000 miles and some light scratches

The key to it is when you sell and how much you need the money now (maybe you have a sick deal on a 600 lined up?). When I first listed mine, it was still cold out and it barely got any interest. I was beginning to think that I'd be lucky to get $2500 out of it but held on. 3 weeks later on the first nice weather weekend of the year I had 10 people ask about it and it was sold within a few days for $2750.

You will have no problem whatsoever getting $3k in the Spring, and $3300-$3500 is more likely. Bike prices fluctuate probably 10-20% depending on the time of year, and especially on a Ninja 250, which is a popular bike to learn on and always has interested buyers every time a new season starts.

What this also means though, is that you'll be spending more on a 600 if you wait to buy it in the Spring compared to deals you can find right now. If you can afford having both bikes for a couple of months, I'd buy the 600 and sell the Ninja 250 in April/May. If not, consider selling it now for a few hundred less if you find a good deal on what you're looking for.

I put my bike up for sale because I will be upgrading to 600 soon.

    It's a 2012 Ninja 250r Candy Lime Green

    1900 miles

Absolutely immaculate. No scratches, runs perfectly

I put it up for $3500 including helmet.

I have someone in Columbus that says the highest he can go is $3k

I'm in no rush to sell.

Is $3500 a good price point for this?

  4. That's good to know but when a ride around town turns into a spontaneous Put-In-Bay trip, and you barely make the last ferry out, you kind of have to wing it haha. It was a good time up there and I'd be down for a planned trip this year.

You're lucky you didn't get arrested. They have had problems with people doing that in the past. There are plenty of hotels downtown or houses to rent.
  5. Golf carts make great places to sleep too if the house thing falls through.. Just ask those guys we met last time when we went up without a plan or place to stay. Right Brandon? definitely need to go back up there this season haha

I feel like we need to do an Ohio riders drinking weekend up there. Rent a house and drive golf carts around everywhere.
  6. Thanks, I'm sure we'll be out riding through the twisties in Hocking as soon as it gets warmer. I'm planning on doing Deal's Gap this summer, just figuring out the details so maybe we'll see you out there!

Welcome, had a good time riding with you and Brandon through Hocking after the Dream ride. Maybe I'll see you guys out on a ride this year again.
  7. I'm planning on riding down there with Dying Shadow and Night Rider, but if there's still any rooms left I'd be down to split one or go in on a cabin with others.

Fuck it I'm in, let me know if there is an open couch, floor, or if anyone wants to split a room. Also willing to split fuel cost if anyone has room in their vehicle. Pauly bring the scooter :) unless I pick up a new bike by then either way I will bring down growlers of good beer.
  8. What's up everybody,

New to the board but you may have seen me on the Dream Ride and a couple other random rides last season. This will be my 4th year riding and right now I've got a Black ZZR600 that I've had the past 2 years. I started out on a Ninja 250 before that, which I put a ton of miles on since the day I got it including a solo ride to NY to meet up with some friends.

It's hard to keep me off a bike during riding season and you may have seen me around town on the ZZR. I ride a lot with Dying Shadow, and I've been on some rides to Hocking with Night Rider and a couple others on the forum. I've been meaning to sign up to make it official and finally made it on here.

Looking forward to some good times riding this season!

    Cheers
