  1. That is a fact you can Google, the pizza sucks here. If there was a pizza place that made something taste like any random joint in Ohio, example Christies in Newark. And put that location near the Yankees here you'd be busy and rich.

Another thing , nyc style delis suck here too. One finally opened in tega cay and it's so busy it's expanding hours, caused at least one competitor to close and is expanding its size.

At least you've got the Donatos across from South Park in Charlotte.

I'm just a couple hours away, but our pizza selection is even more sad.

  2. and who is VA not to recognize other states carry. A buddy of mine got his VA carry here in OH, do you know what you have to do? Watch a 20min video take a test that you can pull the answers up on another computer, get your fingerprints then send all that in with $100 (i think that's the price). They then do the background check and if you're clean you get your carry.

    No shooting..wth

I think you may be onto something... Is this just a mission to drive up non-resident VA permits? (collecting $100*)

Disqualifying some of these states didn't make any sense to me, for example, in SC we have 8 hours of instruction along with a scored shooting test from multiple distances.

  3. This sounds like perfect fantasies for city dwellers, but what sort of autonomous car will navigate the backwoods, logging roads, Rubicon, etc?

What will pull the plows and irrigation systems? Where do you draw the line between a "tool" and a "car"?

I'm gonna have my diesel trucks for a very long time.

(and I'll ride my motorcycle into the awful, crowded metropolises)

  4. Just a heads-up for those planning spring vacations.

In case you needed another reason to avoid driving through Virginia, here is a good one.

RICHMOND, Va. -- Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring announced Tuesday that, starting February 1, the Commonwealth would no longer recognize concealed carry handgun permits from more than two dozen other states. Herring, a Democrat, said the decision was made following a Virginia State Police audit of 30 states whose concealed handgun permits had been considered valid in Virginia.

Ohio (and Florida) are on this list.

  5. That's a weird spot. Sometimes the cops are everywhere, but just last Saturday I was passed by several packs of cars doing well over 90 just west of Wytheville on 81.

In Georgia, "Super speeder" tickets work out to about the same $ btw.

  6. A couple years of Pickerington to 1111 commute here.

As most have said, Earlier in the day is better than later, as far as parking and traffic are concerned.

It's always hilarious when someone finds out you work there, and they say -- "OH! Do you know Chris? He works in IT too.."

  7. As someone who recently moved to better weather, that's the one thing you can completely control. If you want to move do it. Ohio has good things that I miss but I wouldn't give up being able to go outside 11-12 months of the year without a coat to get any of it back.

    Hi, neighbor

OP Be careful using potential weekend trips as a factor.

I lived in Florida for 8 years. If you're a fan of the beaches, it's okay and winter is awesome.

It still takes hours and hundreds of dollars to take the family to Disney, SW etc.

If you're rich, no prob. But then you could live that life from anywhere.

  8. Oh man, what a solution to all that unbearable traffic between downtown and campus.

    :dumb:

(I would actually support a roughly diamond-shaped, above ground light rail loop connecting Upper Arlington, Polaris, Easton and the Short North....)
