  1. Well if it was in my neck of the woods (WV) it would have involved one of two phrases. 1) Hey ya'll, watch this. 2) Hey, hold my beer for a second.
  2. If you are considering getting a trailer and it will be pretty much just for carrying the bike around be sure to check out the Harbor Freight 4'x8' trailer. I used to have one and it was perfect. It is on sale for $299 plus you can get a 25% coupon code to use to buy it taking another $75 off of it. Here is a link to the trailer. http://www.harborfreight.com/1195-lb-capacity-48-inch-x-96-inch-heavy-duty-foldable-utility-trailer-with-12-inch-wheels-90154.html Current coupon code is 23829734.
  3. Don't listen to them. The first piece is always free.
  4. Hey, I resemble that remark!
  5. I guess I should fill out a leave slip tomorrow. Kind of forgot about that. One benefit of working for the government, there are only a couple of days a year I can't take off work.
  6. I drive a hybrid. For the first month I wasn't sure if my car was going to take off from a stop light or if I was going to be pushing it. Come to think about it, sometimes pushing may be a little faster.
  7. Just signed up for the 19th and 20th. I can't wait for two more awesome days of riding.
  8. I did my first track days a month or so ago. I wrote a review if you are interested in reading about what you are in for. http://ohioriders.net/index.php?/topic/104555-two-days-at-mid-ohio/ As for transporting the bike, just do what works for you. As long as you get your bike and gear there you are in good shape. The track provides lunch so just bring some snacks and plenty of water. I used approximately 1-1/2 tanks of gas per day in novice. You will only need a front stand if you have a problem.
  9. Are there any roadies around? I raced mountain bikes for quit a few years. Made it to expert class but didn't do much there. I switched to road and made it to cat 3. Unfortunately my knees have out on me. Four knee surgeries later, several rounds of synvisc and I am back on the road. My knees will never allow me to ride mountain bikes again. Anywho, here are pictures of my current bikes. Here is an older mtb picture. This was taken during 24 hours of Big Bear.
  10. Thanks. I have looked at that one but I would prefer not to spend quite that much if not necessary.
  11. Thanks, let me know. Otherwise I'll just order an Engear (Starlane) later today.
  12. Have any more information on the guy that makes the gear indicators?
  13. Thanks for the replies. I appreciate them. I accidentally went to first for a turn after the straight at my last track day. I'm sure it had a lot to do with inexperience but I would like to be able to know what gear I am at a glance in case I'm not sure next time.
  14. I'm looking for a gear indicator that will work for an 04 CBR600RR. Let me know if you have one laying around that you would like to sell.
  15. Crap. Guess I can quit watching the weather channel.
  16. Thinking about doing Monday. Just trying to decide if I want to spend $140 on gas ten days after my last trip there.
  17. Crap, now I can't stop watching the weather for Monday.
  18. I'm thinking about going Monday. It's just tough spending $140 in gas to go back so soon.
  19. I'm already having withdrawals.
  20. I have purchased two bikes out of state. As long as they are clean titles all he will need to do is take the title, insurance card, and receipt to the DMV. After that he just needs to take it some place for an inspection sticker. Nothing to it. The inspection sticker is not required to license the bike.
  21. That's him. Know his last name by any chance?
  22. I looked up Eric Pinson, I don't think that was him. The guy I am talking about had an orange multi-colored CBR, slept in his white van while he was there, and ended up with a burnt up tire warmer.
