  1. I bought this last year for my wife. She has had second thoughts on riding solo, so I think we are going to try and go a different direction (concours 14 for 2 up riding).

here is the skinny on this bike:

we picked it up from a distant friend last spring at 409 miles. she ,the friend, had developed some medical problems and can't ride anymore. unfortunately,  before I bought it she had a slow speed spill on the bike. the tank and front fender took the damage.

we spent most of last summer riding 2 up when I had the time, and trying to teach my wife how to ride.

clean Alaska Title (not a scam, I'm active duty military and Alaska resident), I still owe the ban a little for it (I will pay it off before the deal).

other than the 2 dents in the gas tank and scratches on the fender, the bike is almost brand new.

the bike books out at 8,240 and replacement tank is $600 and fender is $200 from Honda.

pictures coming tonight or in the morning.

  2. I understand those concerns, but who here has ever seen one fail?

I have only seen 4 or 5 of these in use, but the owners always love them.

My best friend had one fail, it was not taken care of properly and the failure was due to rust. No damage to the bike, the front tire holder rusted in half.

That being said, I currently use the SMR600 (I think that's right) i bought it after his failed. I already have a 20' trailer and didn't want to buy another trailer to haul the bike. I used to put the bike in the bed of the truck, but unloading by yourself is just too dangerous (IMO) even with 3 ramps. I can load or unload my bike in a matter of minutes by myself.

I've only owned it since last spring (after sliding down a ramp for the last time) and it's been from here to deals gap 4 times and to georgia once. The new models don't rock as much as you would think.

I also agree about the hitch, but my hitch/truck is rated for about twice the 500lbs.

  3. I have 2 sets of ramps for sale.

Set 1- Reese folding aluminum 12" x 80" rated at 1500 lbs (750 each). Basically brand new, I used them as walk up boards to load my bike once. Paid $170ish at lowes, $125.00

#2- trackside folding aluminum 18" x 80" rated at 1500lbs. I've had this one for a couple of years and used to load my bike in the truck bed, I now have too many bikes. Paid 199 asking $125.

Take both sets home for $225

I picked up a 5x8 trailer so I don't need these anymore. They are located in Madison OH

  4. Bank angle sensor? I know if you relocate them on a CBR and don't have it mounted right it will cause issues such as that.

Just caught the gauge flicker...check the gsxr forums for common bad sections in the wire harness.
