What's up mafks?  I did a thing and now I need recommendations on where to buy pirate gear.  Maybe I can just emulate the Dyna Bros and skirt that stigma a little bit.  The wife didn't want her bike any more so I sold it and bought a Low Rider S.  This morning I got a wild hair up my ass and sold my GSXS so I guess I am all in on the pirate culture.

Which one do I need?   

A or B?

I'd like to make one of these but I'm a maybe until my vacation plans firm up.

I just broke the clip off of my Sena 10S.    I could probably rig something up but this might be an excuse for an update.   What does everybody like these days?   I use it primarily for listening to music and google directions.    I don't use it for communication during group rides very often.  What's the best these days for audio quality?    Sena used to be the top dog but it seems like Cardo does better in the recent reviews.

I'm due for a new helmet at 5 years and counting but I can't find one that fits my fucked up head.   I was in IP this weekend but in no hurry to try on helmets with this Rice Rabies stuff going on.  So far the best fit has been the Signet Q (long oval) helmet but it's pricey and still didn't feel all that great.  Even the newer model of the HJC helmet that I currently use feels different than what I have.

Things were fairly  tame last winter.  I was almost disappointed.

I've gotten a hankering for a new Fat Bob but then struggle with the fact that I can get a brand new Vmax for a few grand less.  Too bad some medical bills for the kid nuked my play money pile so I get to daydream for another year.

after struggling to find anything in stock, i bought a homely 2002 SV650 race bike. 

i haven’t even cranked it yet. Needs a battery, and all the fluids flushed first. The plan is to ride it and race it at Nelson, PIRC and Mid-Ohio as much as possible. The racing just opens up the schedule. I am quick enough to stay out of the leaders’ way.  If i find myself anywhere near the front, then i reevaluate 😂

I hadn't thought about the Grom knock offs.   I'd have to lose a shitload of weight first though.

I replaced the battery in my bike today.   Somebody was a dumbass and left the ignition on after parking the bike.  last weekend. The battery was super dead and wouldn't hold a charge.  Iron Pony didn't have shit in stock as far as new inventory.  I'm amazed that folks are spending money with the economy being iffy right now.  I'm spending money but it's on medical bills.  FML.

I absolutely hate blind hills.  I don't get a chance to practice on them much in Cbus.

Starter pistol?  That sounds like a good way to get dead in a hurry.  That's right up there on the stupid scale with rack your pump shotgun to scare intruders away.  What happens if you don't transition in time?  You just made a loud noise so the mean hombre knows where you are.  

There are a few of us here from the Cbus Metro area.  We haven't been good about getting together but if there is interest I'm sure that we can get a couple of rides together.

I'll have to check it out if I make it through this pandemic in one piece.  I don't even want to upsize my happy meal right now. 

Do I get a handicap for being 225 in full gear?       I know that I could benefit from the practice on a closed course.
