  1. Some of you may have heard that Bo Pelini, in a meeting with some of his players after being let go, just completely laid out the AD/program at Nebraska. Some of the transcript... "A guy like him [speaking of the AD], who has no integrity, he doesn't even understand what a core value is," Pelini said, according to the contents of the tape. "He hasn't understood it from the day he got here. I saw it when I first met with the guy. To have core values means you have to be about something, you have to represent something that is important to you. He's a f------ lawyer who makes policies. That's all he's done since he's been here: hire people and make policies to cover his own ass." "Look who he circles himself with," Pelini said of Eichorst. "Look at his team of people. C'mon, man. I'd rather f------ work at McDonald's than work with some of those guys. Not that there's anything bad about working at McDonald's." And that, allegedly, is about all of it that they can print. Who knows how bad the rest of it got.

    The Interview

The story as I understand it so far; Sony makes a movie starring Seth Rogan and James Franco that is a comedy based around a US government backed attempt to assassinate Kim Jong-Un, the current leader of the Peoples Republic of North Korea. The NK's catch on to this (they ARE advertising the shit out of the movie, after all), and they set their hacking teams on the job. The teams get access to the entire movie, outtakes, emails, and apparently shit tons of other information that Sony has protected/is proprietary. Many theaters, now having been made aware of the actual content of the entire movie, the issues that the PRNK have with it, decide that they won't screen the movie. Sony, in response to this, cans the film entirely. Feel free to correct anything above, as I have not delved deeply into this situation. Still, I think this deserves some dickscussion. Ready, GO!
  3. It's actually 8,166,666. So, yeah, a million bucks seems like a lot to me. Saban would need to get something like a 13% raise to match it. 13% is no small thing.
  4. By a LONG ways. It would trigger a few clauses in other coaches contracts, actually. IIRC, there are a few coaches who have a "highest paid" coach clause, stating that they have to be paid in the top 5 or something similar.
  5. Shitballs! THAT is "backing up the Brinks truck". If he turns that down, then the UM AD can truly say, "Yo, I did everything I could."
  6. Shipping, bruh, is cheap. It's so cheap that it costs less to import Roses from Ecuador than it does to grow them here. Geeto has a point. Also, If I were the dude who owned the truck, I would be talking to a lawyer about the company that I traded it to not removing the stickers.
  7. Mary J use in my industry is almost a prerequisite. An entertaining, and true, story. One of our supplier (rep's we'll call him Ed) comes and visits us at Scioto on a semi regular basis. Normally about twice a year he comes intot town from his home base and takes us all out to dinner. He's a really great dude, very fun, incredibly smart, and VP of sales at a reputable Electricity supplier. He comes in one day and were all sitting around the conference table talking business and making jokes when one of us references that working for a broker has it's benefits, one of which is no HR department. I quip that it's a good thing we don't drug test. His response is that they don't either, but if they did, it would be to ensure that you have a high enough level of cannabis in your bloodstream to be at work. We all chuckle, and then he relates a story of a time when he was having a rough day, sitting in his office when the CEO of his company walks in, tell him to go home, smoke a bowl, and come back, so he could get some shit done. That night we were out until 3 in the morning, and spent a significant piece of time at a hookah bar on high st. Best business meeting I've ever been involved in.
  8. http://www.galvestondailynews.com/free/article_5f269ed2-8557-11e4-8588-37eb16686b02.html Oh, the ironing!
  9. :lolguy: And this is how I earn my Schnauzies.
  10. Do-si-do, oh-yo-ho hello there/Oh yeah, don't think I won't go there/go to Beirut and do a show there... So, who is our next OC?
  11. Oof. I think I'm going to take YSU in that. I would be willing to wager 5 Schnauzies on it. I actually think this was a pretty great move for Bo. He's going to be a hero there, and if he can do some thing with that team...he could be Tressel part 2 for that community. I think that Nebraska wants to compete for an NC again, which is great, I want them to feel that way. However, if that is how they feel, then I don't think that Riley was a great hire. No disrespect to him. I am also hopeful that Harbaugh DOES end up at UM. That rivalry becomes white hot immediately if that happens.
  12. Not to be replaced by a dude that is, by every measurable, NOT AS GOOD as he was. It will be interesting to see how he does up in Y-town. Hope he does well.
  13. Pelini going to coach Youngstown State.
  14. I think my rustle factor will depend on who we get to replace him, and how talented we are. I don't think I would be more than a 5, though.
  15. While I agree that Herman has had some issues calling plays, you can't really argue with his ability with QB's. He is also the OSU QB coach. THAT, moreso than the PPG this season, is probably what won him the Broyles award and got him the job in U of H. I'm 45 minutes north of Houston. I might have to go catch me a game next year.
  16. I would think so. Having an NC ring would be quite useful in recruiting, I think.
  17. What the actual fuck! I guess just plain old killing someone isn't enough for people nowadays...
  18. Tom Herman set to become new HC of University of Houston, according to reports.
  19. My feeling too, but man, I want them not to suck anymore. Beating them when they were #2 was just so much more satisfying.
  20. So, list of potential UM coaching targets has been narrowed to four, apparently. Harbaugh, Miles are 1 and 1A. The next two include Addazio, Jim Mora, or Sean Payton (yeah, the guys form the Saints). Odds that they actually get any of these guys? We'll see.
