The B8 S4 is a great car. Blown 6 cyl is the way to go.
How much was the RS4? I've seen them in the $40k-50k range and that is way too much for a car with an exterior/interior design that dates back to 2002 - it looks really dated and the interior looks like an A4 from the 90's.
For my money I'd get the e90/92 M3, equally potent, high-revving V8 and similar in price.

Scion/Toyota rep Detroit NA Auto Show said this car is the replacement for the Supra. Couldn't help but laugh in his face.
I asked at the Subaru stand (in Detroit) when they're coming out with a turbo edition with a hint of power. The guy at the Subaru stand said "it doesn't need to be fast, it can handle" . I said I didn't realize they were mutually exclusive

you put one on my BMW at work! Had a white BMW on it at well. Made me happy @ Chase

I'd still think at 12k I'd take a used car. If I was worried about warranty, I'd buy CPO. I'm pretty used to paying out the ass for repairs though. Do like the Mazda2 though

Think of it in terms of blower rpm rather than boost. On this car the same pulley was used for both runs so the blower rpm was the same and the supercharger would be moving the same amount of air. Boost is simply a measurement of restriction and is measured deep in the intake manifold. With TiVCT there is independant controls for each camshaft and simply moving the cams around will either create or remove a restriction without altering blower speed. On this car moving the cams removed a restriction allowing more cylinder fill, which creates higher cylinder pressures, which makes more power.
thanks for the explanation! /me dumb when it comes to supercharges vs. turbos

Can't wait for November 7th. :masturboy:
I should start saving up now for how much I'd like to spend in that week on eating out.
2nd recomendation for Du Amici in this thread, I'll have to try it out even though looking at their menu nothing jumped out at me.
what is november 7th? another restaurant week? due amici has a great atmosphere, especially outdoor patio if its nice out. $15 brunch = anything on the menu and one free cocktail, incl. badass bloody marys made tableside

That's pretty cool. Love to try it but I can't imagine how much it would cost to actually purchase a unit. It may've been on the site, but I didnt look that well.
Its $99k . looks interesting.. yet gimmicky

A spending problem isn't a problem if you have the revenue to support the spending. Revenue needs increased, spending needs decreased. You fix both, not a huge hit on one or the other.
Can we tax the top .5% yet?
Sounds like some Keynesian load of b.s. that Krugman would say!

Basically just cannot have jack shit in your cars these days (at least visible in any way). sad
I leave NOTHING in my cars for this reason. Some times you have to learn the hard way though.
