So Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda seem to be the best type of beginner sports bikes with potential. What is the real difference between the R series yamaha's, the CBR honda's and the GSX-R's. I wanted a GSX-R, but I hear they're just surrounded with a bunch of hype. And buddy of mine recently bought an R6 and I really like it he also has a 05 R1 that's a lot of fun. Suggestions and opinions please. Plus any facts you can find.

On our way home from deployment the big talk was about how the Huskies were going to dominate Ohio State when they came to the West Coast. Because 'Buckeye's don't understand what real football is.' I defended in true O.S.U. fan fashion (threaten to light their couch on fire.) And it was really nice to see O.S.U. Bring a game plan to the West Coast. Glad I could witness at least one game these season. I was going to make this earlier but it completely escaped me. It was by far the best welcome home someone could get being in a new area, to have your hometown team swing in and beat up the locals.

Best way to learn to just pretty much get on one and go, and hope not to die?

And just for future reference ... My contract with the Navy saved my ass on my last reckless ops and speeding ticket, but I had to have my recruiter go with me to the court hearing to say I'd already signed and if it went through it would make them have to draw up another contract because it would change the conditions of my joining. Long story short, she saved my ass. And a few 100 $'s. Ohio laws suck sometimes on the way the Judges handle things, some judges are understanding to the circumstances and will generally give you like community service for being around idiots. I don't know if everyone remembers my 200.5 community service hours I did jail time for story. But that sucked. Don't be that guy.

I haven't read everything but remember, when it comes to vehicles and ANYTHING ... NEVER EVER FOR ANY REASON EVER ... ever ever plead no contest. No contest as is good as 'guilty' but they don't need to prove anything to make you guilty. God I wish I would of known that before all the shit I got into. Thank you Anthony

Hello guys, So for those who know me, hi. For those who do not: I'm on my way back from Deployment and have been stationed out in Bremerton, WA. I'm 23 years old. I sold the Monte, sold my Celica, and am now looking at putting some deployment money to a bike. However I've never riden before and people assure me I'll love it. I don't want to go in completely blind as I am now, and when I thought of how to get some info, with minimal bullshit responses. As always, CR. I'm looking at getting a Suzuki GSXR 600 (?). But again I'm a beginner, and generally know my limits, but have a heavy foot in cars. And would rather not kill myself on a bike, but have something I can learn on, that can take some abuse, and to toy with on occasion. Any help you guys/gals can give as far as websites, learning material, pointers and tips would be REALLY appreciated especially about the bikes themselves, I trust you over all more than just about anyone else. Thanks!
