    WTB: Ford 8.8

Thanks Ice! Ya, this car isn't a drag vehicle. I'll be road coursing in this one. I just need something that doesn't have exploded gears and a fried posi like my old 7.5 DON'T WANT TO MISS ANYMORE SEASON BROS

  8. Sad update: Me, Greg and a friend were working on the car this week and after pulling the axles and pumpkin cover we found out that the 0n3 axles won't fit. They're about a half inch away from the C clips groove on the inside. It's because I'm fortunate enough to have a 7.5 rear end. Also both spider gears were missing teeth and the posi clutches are completely shot. Junk I have been shopping yards and forums the last few days and found an 8.8 rear with 4.10 gears, trac-loc, 5 lug axles and disc brakes. I'll be grabbing it here in a few days. Maybe in a week or two it will be done.
  9. Rocky wins today. Midas about 3 miles away did it for free. Asked that I return a favor sometime.
  10. Thanks Cordell I'll let them have at it
  11. Does anyone know any local shops that can expand an exhaust flange?

  15. Update So my good friend Greg, the gergwheel, whom I am forever in debt to, helped me get the car over to his lift to work on Max. So far we have: Replaced the inner and outer tie rods, installed Moog ball joints, new struts, caster camber plates and the 5 lug swap is complete on the front. We also installed rear shocks, took down the very stock, old exhaust (it fell off practically), installed poly bushings on the transmission and pulled the drive shaft. Next up to install the aluminum driveshaft, strut brace, rear sway bar, axles and distributor. Then Max should kick some ass at my next Mid Ohio/Nelson Ledges visit. I'll have pictures next time I visit.
  16. This video is incomplete and therefore propaganda. At the end you would see Max still standing. Maybe you're right. He's so clean on in the inside. I feel bad for him being all Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
  17. Paul. Mr. Nostalgic.

  20. I think you should run it for the season that way. See if it grows on you. I personally like it a lot more now that I see how uniform it is in daylight.
