  1. Plastic surgury joke? tongue.gif Honnestly, you'd hve to pay me quite a bit to live in so-cal. Nice place to visit, I'm sure. Good luck with the ladies, mang. graemlins/thumb.gif
  2. I recomend this band of snow, The Trough. Starts at 13,600ft, and ends in the vally 2,600ft below. Its pitch ranges from near vertical at the top to about 50deg at the bottom. It gets wider in the winter. I'll be there the last week of january, I'll get ya to the top and watch you go down, may even call SAR for ya. tongue.gif
  3. oh yeah, well...well...blue letters are gay, ha! tongue.gif

  7. whatever it is, make sure it can fit snuggly in your ass, 'else it'll never make it into prison with you. tongue.gif
  8. You over estmate modern medical science. THis is a birth defect, and will be a constant source of unpredicatable bone growth for the next 20 years. The formative years of htat little girls life are trashed. I'm willing to bet just about none of those surguries are covered by your average HMO. I see no problem with them asking for donations.
  9. Thats year 'round. I'm waiting for ohios fountains, spillways, and waterfalls to freeze over
  10. Whos crying over the snow and ice? Just means another season of different recreation.
  11. ohh, famous book, too. Does it mention the print run of books in it anywhere? Red all the stuff that isn't a story, make note of numbers and dates, etc etc. My oldest book is a surveying book, printed in 1792. Got a few pages of notes and sketches in it, written in old ink, old cursive style.
  12. First off, this isnt a war. Congress never declared war, this, like vietnam, is legaly considered a "conflict". Laws concerning this were determined back in the ol geneva convention. I honnestly dont see any problem with commndeering abandoned vehicles, but some one obviously had a problem with it, or else we wouldn't hve herd about it. Why is a functional vehicle abandoned? In that nation, functional machinery is precious. It's easy to beleive that they needed a truc, so they took one that was "abandoned" in some one's driveway/yard/feild etc, and the info was sufficiently "softened" by the time it got to us Yanks. If some one runs out of gas and abandons a car on the side of the highway, are you allowed to take it home?
  13. Grand Veiw Mercantile co. on high street has a good stock of old leather books, you could check with them. There's more that goes into old book value then a date and condition. There are many editions, and, writing inside the book can raise or lower its value. So an apraiser would be best. What have you got? I collect old leatherbond books. If it's not 130+ years old, its just not old. tongue.gif
  14. This message brought to you by the Bush administration. On a side note, break a law, get punished, dont care who you are. We're supposed to be a great nation, lets act like it and set an exmple.
  15. se this one in the magazies on the break table?
  16. The true mark of any great musician is the sound they create. Anyone can be taught to read and write music, to play the notes on the page, and to sing the lyrics on the Karoke prompter. But to have your own instantly identifiable sound is the mark of a true musical genuis. Darrel Lance Abbot was one such pioneer. From its inception to its eventual breakup, there was no mistaking the sound of Pantera. When you heard a new song from them, it needed no intruduction, you knew just by the sound that it was Pantera. Darrel Abbot was the cornerstone of this sound. Since Pantera, many many other bands have saught to duplicate their sound, and variations of it have made for some great music. The driving force of his low slung guitar literealy changed the face of Metal. It carried over into his most recent project, Damage Plan. He and his brother could bang out pounding rythms that no one could resist nodding their head or stomping their feet to. Due to the lack of bad blood between the brothers and the other members of Pantera, the potential was always there for a reunion, but that changed last night. Attacked and killed on stage, while playing the music that banged the heads of generation, it was one of the most tragic, and debatably most honnorable deaths in rock and roll history. I'll be looking forward to his music roaring through the halls of Val Hallah when I get there. Rest in Peice Darrel Lance Abbot 1966 - *
  17. everything in our basement is on blocks, bricks, 2x4s, etc etc. We've known about this potential problem for a long, long time.
  18. gunbroker.com still up and running?
  19. I'll get 3rd in line for that, if no one else can get'm. Despite my poor grammar, I'm a literature packrat. I saved a stack of pre-1970 national geographics from a highschool art class hack'fest project once, combined it with my 81-90 stack, this would make a great addition to the collection.
  20. I have a 98lb asian girl, "the 98 lb enforcer". she's injured now, but will be ready for play again in spring. $1200 o.b.o. tongue.gif edit; seriously though, got people possibly interested [ 06. December 2004, 10:45 PM: Message edited by: Tenzig ]
