Suzi Wad...great memories! "Good morning, Mark the Shark!....Good morning, WAAAAAAD warrior!" I couldnt pick her out of a crowd, but I heard she was ugly as sin!

Just deal with them all the time. Service guests, people trading them etc. I feel very confident about my statement. 6.0s have a bad rep. The later ones were better, but the damage to the reputation had already been done. The 6.4 "flame shooting" was a software reprogram when it was released in late 2007.

Just a couple observations on the F250. I would take a 7.3L over any generation of 6.0l Early 6.0s have alot of issues...turbo, gaskets, etc Check the ball joints on the F250 especially if its a 7.3

why not 52?

Ben, I'm with you about the DC thing. It's none of their business. Just like it's none of their business what I listen to on the radio. (Fairness Doctrine) I still have mixed feelings on the whole steroid thing. Yes, it's their body, but it just seems wrong not to accomplish things naturally.

http://autos.yahoo.com/articles/auto...r-a-cop-magnet 9. Audi A4 Audi often finds itself in the shadows of Mercedes and BMW, but not when it comes to getting tickets. The Audi A4 is the ninth most ticketed car in America. Article from other thread. Irony defined. Have a good one, Jonesy:)
-
Nah, I just look at auction values...they tend to reflect public opinion...its a full time job of mine.
-
Educate me then, Jones. Tell me what's wrong with my statement about Audi? Tell me why the buying public looks at audi in a good light but not the best light behind MB and BMW. 3rd place is 3rd place. Just like dodge. Not a diss...reality. Are you trying to hurt my feelings? Sorry, bro. We sell plenty of cars, so don't worry about me. You know what I allow you to know about me. You think my Taurus and Mustang are the only vehicles I own? That's cool...a little shortsighted, but cool. "Snide remarks?" You Audi boys are the ones throwing out terms like rattle traps, pieces of crap etc...when did I ever belittle your ride. I couldnt care less. They are damn nice rides and for what you boys pay for them, they better be. What I do care about is Ford, GM and Dodge. No one in their right mind wants to see them fail. We want to see change, but not failure.

Come on, man! Hope springs eternal. If Japan can take market share, Americans can take it back. Turn off CNN and cut the doom and gloom. Dont underestimate the motivation of someone or some thing fighting to survive.
-
Well that settles it, the millions of buyers and repeat buyers who have had great success with their F150s are wrong and you are right:) Um, again, thanks for taking a backended slap at my car. I've had it for 9 years with no squeaks and rattles. Its a good car, must be why I've held on to it for so long. It's all about dollars and what you get. Your Audi is a nice car, but like I said before, its the "Dodge" of German automakers. MB and BMW will always be superior in the minds of the buying public looking at the type of machine. I'm going to assume you work on your own car so dont take this next statement personally. However, it seems quite ironic to me that such perfect machines from Germany would require service departments and their respective dealerships. Weird, huh? Oh, and at 200 bucks a service hour to diagnose a service engine soon light, I think I will stick with my "rattle trap." I did see the Top Gear episode to which you referred. I found it equally as ironic that they chose a Lightning to represent the typical F150 that "Stupid, unrefined Americans" typically buy. The build quality could have been better in 03. If you remember, 04 was the next change in body style and that fit and finish went through the roof. 09 has been even better. As was said in a previous post, reserve your judgement for current vehicles. Good luck with your car. It does look sharp.

dont' read too much into anything you see here. Most of the time we rip each others heads off and are cool 10 mins later.
-
Most car companies are struggling. Some just more than others. Again, I dont see where all the hostility for Ford comes in this thread. The F150 is the best selling vehicle in America, the Taurus was special and with the latest retool will be special again. I think that's all the OP was really trying to say.
-
Ford Motor Company would like to thank you for your patronage during your new vehicle purchase.
-
Ben, I say this with all the respect in the world for you. Why don't you ask one of the boys in your party if it would be legal to import the same diesels that are driven in Europe for purpose of retail. Ford has a 65MPG diesel under its European umbrella that will never see the light of day here because of EPA restrictions. To all the haters who like to bash the American car companies: Yep, I sell Ford's. Yep, I get defensive. I also see the progress being made. I see the hypocrisy when foreign manufacturers get tax breaks to build here while American car companies move manufacturing abroad to save money. Its just frustrating to see some of the responses. Ford could unveil a flying car that runs on air and the lemming, basher comments would still be heard everywhere.
-
10 YR old reasoning. When was the last time you looked at a new American car and you were not in front of a computer. Turn off CNN and take a look at what Ford has accomplished in the last 4 yrs with efficiency and quality. Ask all the union members who are out (good thing) if they feel Ford is addressing their cost structure. One more thing, ask if they took any of YOUR money. I think you will like the answer.

^This from the guy who just complimented a Taurus for the first time in his life a few posts ago Edit: my "crap" wasnt meant to impress pretentious german dodge drivers
-
Yeah, cuz the guy wanting to light up the strip or carve out corners is gonna think about a Taurus....demographics, baby The car will sell...there is already a huge buzz about the 2010 Taurus around here.

Thanks for pointing out again what I acknowledged in my previous post. Nice work. My point was not necessarily directed at him. I gave him credit for being younger. The point is that it's pretty easy to be a Stealer fan if you have not grown up in or near Pittsburgh. It's easy to pile on Browns and Bengal fans. It's just an EASY road to take. That's the point.
