so just like I said. Its not "65". And those other jurisdictions where it is defined are all different temps.
And when the judge releases the escrow and his heat still breaks every so often, now he needs to move his family. Trust me, ive dealt with escrow many times (always had it immediately released).
its better to work with the landlord and find a solution before involving the courts. ALWAYS.
Electric. Their electric bill is around $650 per month in the winter. Gas wasn't an option till a few years ago where they are, and Columbia wants a$5,000 tap fee.
writing is never a bad idea, correct. They are trying to fix the issues it sounds like.
Reasonable heat is not "above 65". Dunno where you heard that. Protecting yourself isn't automatically trying to get an escrow when they have been working on the issue. Even if he got an escrow set up, the landlord can challenge immediately. In this case the landlord would most likely win. If that happens, he now has basically no cards left.
The problem with going straight to the escrow threat is that the landlord is not being unresponsive and the law only states "reasonable heat". Escrow is not an automatic thing
You have a right to heat but not a right to equipment, so demanding new this or new that isn't going to get you anywhere.
The other issue is that they ARE addressing the heat issue immediately so you are kind of stuck when it comes to that.
Honestly your best option right now would be to notify the landlord that you are going to call in a 3rd party repair company and billing the estimate cost to them. Threaten to escrow when they push back on that.
Yep. This happened to me on a civic about 10 years ago. They had an original estimate of $5000, started the work and bumped it to 9,000 immediately, ended up over $11k. Insurance co. Was pissed, I was pissed, shop was elated
The play calling in crunch time isn't because of a lack of confidence in the passing game but more of a excess of confidence in Millers runinng ability
No the problem is the opposite. The brand has had value before the show. Before the show they were doing ~$30 million in duck call sales alone. The question really is, how much of Duck Commander does A&E get their hands on for that time period
Having watched this family for 15+ years, I think they aren't really concerned that he was fired with a "hey you can't do that" but more of a "shit they own about 70% of our brand for another 1 1/2 years"
They didn't fire him for being a Christian, they fired him for making public anti gay statements, which is and always has been legal. I support A&E's right to run their business as they see fit
You didn't answer the question. Where were his rights infringed? Is he in jail for saying what he did? Was he fined?
I Dont think you understand the 1st amendment.
