Ha. I believe Kevin is planning to invite David to a private roll-on event in PA next month between me, Bello, Omega, and two of UR's fastest cars.

To be clear, I have not spoken with David in years. I've never had an issue with him in the past other than my personal belief that his best days were with Tym. Regardless, there is a lot of history between David and Tym, both good and bad. I don't know all that was said between the two of them when they ran into each other a few weeks back, but the net of what was communicated to me by a couple folks is that I was not welcome for various reasons and that if I showed, I would be kicked-out. Perhaps it's unlike me, but I decided to let it go. In my mind it wasn't a big deal as David has the right to do what he wants at his event. The DSM Shoot-out is a great time and I hope Switzer's cars will be at the next one.

No, it's mine - painted the same spectra blue micra as my Supra. I drove it for a bit last week, actually surprised at how well it responds below 7k - I'd say more in line with a stock BRZ from a 5-40 mph roll. It's perfectly 'streetable' in virtually every sense as it was built to run Underground 2R cars and dig race anyone else. Turbos will make a couple hundred more hp - not sure if that 3.8L motor can handle it - but we'll find out in a few weeks when I'm back in town.

 

As for the "2000 hp" title, agree, a bit misleading, but I guess potentially rounding up to a bhp number had a nice ring to it for the marketing guy.

 

Happy to bring it down next month if anyone wants a dig or roll race.

I've been talking with Amar for some time trying to get bikes out to TI. Maybe you can change some peoples opinions about it or at least ask about a bike class if insurance won't allow cars/bikes to run each other. At least the MPH comparison could be made..

 

At TX2K, (based on last year) I was under the impression they didn't want bikes out and didn't want to bother with them. I know Will from Dallas was out with his GSXR1K-Turbo and raced the T1 car. He said he lost on low boost and turned it up for a rematch but the car broke. I don't know what night that was but they must have got it fixed.

 

I would have loved to bring mine out but things got stupid unless you got a private invite to Jason's. The other problem was at least five bikes were stolen during the week, three from the Omni parking lot. I know two had Turbo's and were ready to race. I don't think many bike guys had fun after that started happening..

 

So what's the deal with UR? Seems like a lot of shit talking with the EVO and other races but when it comes down to it they do/don't want to race? Did a clean race happen? Most of the footage has one always jumping the other and no clean start.

 

Maybe a bike class, but Amar won't let bikes run cars unless we maybe make an excpetion before or after the event without the typical cameras....

 

Kevin and KC get too worked up over this stuff. Shit talking is fun, but KC seems like he wants to throw down on anyone who challenges them. Entertaining, but gets old...

 

Who's TT lambo is that in Indianapolis? I know nothing of it, other than some local 8sec mustang guys (stupid fast cars, that get down on the street) were complaining they met up with them and couldnt convince the lambo to run from a dig, and the mustangs wouldnt go from a roll, so just ended up being a bitch fest between the two, with no racing.... (typical)

 

Tim Iacola. No TTG will run from a dig. None of the current running cars are built for it....but should be changing shortly.

That was me Saturday night that I told you I might have someone to run with that silver GTR that night and I tried like hell to get the guy to come out and run that car but he was too busy cruising around with a billion other GTR's.

Are you coming out to the next TI event? Did you sell the white SL and if so are you building another Lambo or just the GTR?

 

What were your thoughts on the event? Anything out racing impress you? So who/what was the fastest after it was all said and done?

 

Yes, we're signed up for April TI, so hope Tym will get everything done in time. Yes, sold my SL a year ago and building a GTR with Tym. I am working with Tim I to possibly buy his Gallardo and build a stage 2R. If Kevin and Tim make the numbers work, it'll also be at TI.

 

Street racing this year was hit or miss. No bikes came out, which made things easier, but surprised they didn't want to run. The 3794 T1 GTR was very fast. I would have loved to see it run Tag again Sat night, but UR was't itching for a rematch. LOL. From a roll, the Gallardos are still king for now. From a dig, nothing there could have touched that Switzer pump gas GTR....

I had thought at one point you had had a Yellow SL, I thought your white car was wrapped flat white? Regardless still insane to watch those cars. I hope to see more footage of the Aventadors doing work. I saw Tim's car tranny broke racing the Evo, wonder if his asking price with come down on the TTG haha. Watching these videos makes me want to hang outside of the US for a couple more years and do a TTG haha.

 

No I bought the white one and ended up selling the yellow one. No good Aventador videos - Kevin wouldn't run anybody. If my GTR was done, I would have gotten Kevin to run me....

I would have loved to see Steven beat Tag that night. Not sure what their 'race strategy' was, why the bottle wasn't on, why the fuel pumps weren't supposedly working past 15lb, etc. Frustrating that LMR seemed ill prepared. I don't think it was all BS excuses, but why they weren't on kill mode is beyond me....

That would be incorrect. The pass was never backed up, but it ran the number - I saw the slip and know the new owner who was watching. It wasn't easy, and may never be duplicated, but it did run a 'hail mary' pass....

Correct, my previous white SL was on 67's. We weren't able to get the e gear to shift high enough to make the 71's work back then - but they have now figured that out. The billet diffs now allow launch control to work as well - as seen from the track awhile back. So it's a much better time to get into a twin 71mm SL with e-gear

For those that don't know, that is the 1,800hp (not sure if it was running Nitrous) LMR Corvette getting ruined on the street....just shows how FAST those UGR cars are when setup correct... :fuckyeah:

 

Worm didn't have the Vette on the same kill mode as he did back at TI. I'm not sure why, as I heard different stories from Steven and others afterwards, but it's clearly not making 1700hp in this video. Hell, Rexa's 1400hp GTR arguably beat the same "2R" Lambo later that night...

 

If I'm not mistaken the yellow TTG is Jamie's car he had it wrapped in white last year with the Billet 60's on the car. This year was the first year they brought out the 71's. He had told me last year they had them in the works but were figuring a way to get the tranny to hold the hold power, and yes it is NORTH of 1600whp.

 

No the yellow SL was mine before I sold it to Peter who sold it to Nick last year. No UGR SL's have ever been wrapped.

 

The 6 speed Orange Gallardo did in fact make 1750 last month on 71's. Regardless of what you hear online, it 'was all' in in 4th and damn close to it in 3rd gear.

I have a friend that wanted to get into photography. He said he started an LLC pretty much as a hobby, no intention of making money, bought all his equipment, wrote it off, and basically the government gives you 5 years to show a profit, if not they deem it a hobby. So fold business, go on legal zoom start new LLC for couple hundred dollars or just enjoy your purchases from your failed LLC.

Not quite. If you don't show a profit 3 out of the first 5 years, the IRS deems your business a 'hobby' (among other criteria) and any write-offs you take can be later flagged with a tax liability plus penalties and interest. You can generally get away with writing off 'expenses' against 100% of your income for a hobby business, but if you write-off more than income, then you're rolling the dice on a full audit.

No. V2 was built for outlaw 10.5. My Supra is just a caged street chassis.

Kinda disappoint in a lightweight 3.0 only being able to spin 10.5.
