  1. I am not sure if anyone is familiar with this sort of situation. Grandma may be going to a nursing home in the near future. Want to see if not too late to take steps to protect her assets from Medicaid when/if she enrolls. I know about the 5 year lookback in transfers of assets. Any first hand experience or contacts appreciated. Thanks!
  2. I am voting it is a CRT rear projection. Maybe it was the 9 inch CRTs in it since it is 65 inch. CRT is best hands down. I love mine! No RBE or SDE. Best colors around, blacks are perfect. Let me know if anyone is down for a ISF calibration and we can get a group discount. http://hdtvbychadb.com/ Thanks!
  3. hi! I just started checking out craigslist etc today. I'd like to pick up a gently used/mint Wii. Adult owned preferred. A red one, or with the motion plus. I'd love to have the HDTV cables although I know it only does 480p. Let me know what you have and how much! Thanks!
  4. I helped, as it was a 5br house. I purchased 4 hours total of loading and unloading time, and I was afraid time would run out!
  5. sorry I was not clear, I had to rent the truck of my choice and have it at my house at teh agreed starting time. I found plenty of good budget truck rental codes online. so it was 163 for their labor. i cost extra for the truck... You have to have your stuff all packed, they do the lifting from house into truck. Be sure to rent appliance dolly if you are taking them. It was nice to watch the haul our : washer and dryer from the basement heavy ass precor elliptical from basement huge ass crt rear projetion tv then they move it into the new house! so worth it!
  6. I used http://www.movinghelp.com We wanted/needed the cheapest possible price, and these guys had a huge history with mostly good reviews. They travel from Wilmington, OH. They do long range moves too, I heard they did one to Cali after mine. We used these guys 2/2010: Moving Helper: Unstoppable Movers LLC. Reviews: http://www.uhaul.com/MovingHelp/MovingHelpDetailReviews.aspx?id=7186 Phone: (937) 302-6896 Alt phone: (513) 435-5156 Email address: mikera937@aol.com We had two helpers from this company for 4 hours. We rented the Budget/uhaul of our choice. My parents also used them too. May be better to call them directly so the site doesn't get a referral fee. Perhaps you can get an even better fee if you don't go through the owner's number listed above? We had Digger and Chris, I happen to have their direct line if you are after bottom dollar! 937-481-4523, tell them Mike Spohn (pronounced spawn) sent you. We actually used the site, and found some discount codes online. They don't get paid until you are satisfied and give them the payment coupon code. Here is what we paid: Load/Unload 4 hours @ $35.00 = $140.00 Travel Fee $35.00 Order Handling Fee $5.95 Discount -$17.50 Total: $163.45
  7. Would it eventually need anything over the next year or two? suspension/handling parts?
  8. I ASSume you already saw my trade thread. Perhaps if you part out and return to stock as much as possible.
  9. Hey Clay, We contacted several places. I use Angie's List. We really liked Ohio Exteriors and went with them. They are one of the best on the list. We met with the owner James Green, I recommend working with him directly. Tell him Mike Spohn sent you! (614) 239-7663 is the main line his cell is 614-204-3432
  10. weird it is gone now, I just saw it too! All is well I guess!
  11. His insurance progressive paid to have my car fixed. I also enjoyed a rental car during the repairs. He still denys that anything happened, although progressive confirmed the damage on his truck matches mine...no hit and run if you don't know you hit someone.... Thanks to who gave me negative reps saying it was my fault. Can i see who did that?
  12. I have a few bites on my maximas, and someone may be coming Monday from TN. I see you have an old Nissan 300zxTT, any interest in trading your truck for my maximas? http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86543 Also, could you confirm all features and/or show whole sticker? Helpful in looking up book value.
  13. Took pics of turbo maxima today and added to turbo 1997 album link.
  14. I am sick of seeing this guy bump his post. It is red. it is in Kentucky. http://www.hondamarketplace.com/showthread.php?t=2856756
  15. "slap her" haha now that's out of the way. So I know that it is generally not worth it to fix one of these, but I just think it may be an install issue. I removed the bottom panel, and I looked for leaks along the water line and the drain line. Nothing. It does appear to make some god awful noises though. Not sure if that is normal or not. No vent and the drain line runs to the sink. It sounds like most of the water makes it to the drain OK too. I also made sure the distance from the ground to drain or whatever is up to spec. I decided to watch a whole cycle go and shined a flashlight under it. It drained and filled etc etc. No leaks until the very end right before the dry cycle. The water appeared to come out of the back of the dishwasher, and not along any of the water or drain lines. I wish I could pull this thing out and look at it, but it has a soldered copper pipe water line. My knowledge stops there. There is a water valve I can shut off right there though at least. Anyone willing to help me out? I'd love to convert this from a copper pipe to a typical water line I could unscrew or something like a washing machine has... If I have to wash one more baby bottle by hand, I think I will go CRAZY! I am in NE Grove City, Gantz/Hardy Parkway area. Thanks!
  16. I decided to give this a shot as a package deal…. -1997 SE Turbo fully loaded (pics in thread referenced below) -1995 SE non-turbo lightly modded (see additional info/pics below) EDIT: I thought the 95 was a GXE, I have the window sticker, it is a SE. Please read entire thread before posting or PMing me. I WILL NOT PART OUT ANYTHING , please do not ask. ONLY offering as a package. You must take both maximas and all of the parts. $6000 for both, plus a ton of parts. PLEASE PM ALL OFFERS , I really want this to go to an enthusiast, not just someone that wants to part out/make money off of it. I will consider trading both cars for one newer (mostly stock) vehicle. Prefer someone close to Columbus, OH. Please reference for more info on the turbo 1997 maxima: It has about every mod and option possible. http://forums.maxima.org/maximas-sale-wanted/565221-ohio-trade-my-1997-turbo-5-speed-2.html http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78615 http://www.g20.net/forum/showthread.php?t=100018 http://www.hondamarketplace.com/showthread.php?t=2780927 turbo maxima pics: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v166/Prodeje79/1997%20Maxima%20Turbo/?start=all *EDIT:-added new pics taken 11-14-10 -just a quick rinse, I did not do a thorough detail on it today. -front bumper cover paint issues still present, note that my mint bumper was traded to Jay since we were going to need to cut it a little to fit the intercooler. There are several issues, but a quick repaint will do the trick. -driver side fender dent close-up -driver side clear corner ball joint broken, so light is not flush, replace this light and would be good to go. -added a few interior shots show some leather cracks in front seats -tear in leather armrest -small tear near driver side window switches -otherwise I think the interior is in good shape, but it could use a cleaning. I may do this during school’s winter break -I took close-ups to show I am not seeing rust on it, overall I think the paint is great considering age and mileage *END EDIT At this point I thought I would try to throw in the 1995 Maxima (wife's daily driver) for "free" if you buy the turbo maxima. Clean OH Titles in hand. My goal is to give every maxima part I have around, including: -set of 4 chromed RX7 rims. These are the famous light ones, although spacers will be needed for the rear. I never mounted them. Some tread left on them, but nothing worth mentioning. -set of 300zx rims, currently on the car with new Fusion Zri tires on them -winter setup, 17inch Nissan Altima rims with some used tires on them -stock SE 5 stars are currently on the 1995 with new firestone all season tires on them -extra Fidanza flywheel -SARD adjustable fuel pressure regulator -extra set of used stock injectors -used set of extra coil packs -TWO used 300zx z32 MAFs -uninstalled brand new Hella supertone horn -uninstalled new chromed i30 interior door handles -used stock suspension (both maximas have aftermarket springs shocks, has turbo KYB AGX / maxspeed) -uninstalled Energy Suspension stuff -4 gauge pillar pod -uninstalled gauges DEFI EGT, Fuel Pressure (sender is installed on turbo), and Oil Pressure -two harlan RPM switches for MEVI -used alternator -new set of OEM floormats -I will add items as I think of them, but I have a garage full. 1995 Maxima GXE is black with grey interior. ~192k on odometer -has power moonroof and fogs -EDIT: pics added – sorry but those are some dirty floor mats! http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v166/Prodeje79/1995%20Maxima%20Non-Turbo/?start=all -over all what you would expect with a car this old and with this many miles. -David L professional red/clear tails -FSTB, koni shocks and H&R springs, clear corners -side windows are legal ohio tinted (not dark really) -5 speed, fogs, no ABS, hard wired for Valentine 1 / Escort phone cable looking thing -pioneer CD mp3 deck, all infinity speakers with mounted tweeters -has rust, -has a new passenger side front fender and was professionally painted and installed after a few minor claims -spoiler trunk holes were rusted. I obtained a used truck lid, but I kept the spoiler and its parts. -replacement trunk lid came with a nice dent, but I bet it would be easy to remove. -maintained with synthetic fluids as applicable and oil of course. -new battery -in need of a bath -timing chain and tensioner replaced a couple years ago or so -new clutch installed a couple years ago or so -new rear calipers and rotors a year or two ago. -2001 5 speed transmission swapped in. Works great!
  17. So this is in Grove City, but it is Columbus Schools? Yes I can read the listing, but I was surprised it was not Southwestern....
  18. If you buy outright now: $167,900. If lease to own ( aka rent to own, aka lease option ): $180,000. 6 month up to a 2 year lease, negotiable. This is basically a lease contract with option to purchase agreement. This is a lease agreement combined with an option to purchase the property within a specified period at an agreed-upon price. Note that this option premium is non-refundable option consideration which will be applied toward the purchase price of the property if, and only if, Optionee exercises this OPTION to purchase. If the purchase option is not exercised, the Tenant/Buyer forfeits the Option Premium. I really want you to buy my house, and this really helps make it happen. I need to crunch some numbers, but here is what I am expecting: -$1500/month for rent -Option Premium payment (2% of purchase price $180,000), which is $3600. This is the option payment. -Security Deposit is one month's rent, which is $1500 5 bedroom French Chateau 2.5 baths Great open floor plan with all hardwood floors, even in the five bedrooms. New kitchen and new stainless steel appliances. Pella replacement windows (2005) New HVAC Fall 2009 Basement rec room with wet bar New Gas Whirlpool Hot water heater (2005) Spring 2010 Roof Attic fan Near elementary, middle, and high schools in Pickerington School District (Pickerington Central High School) ***Please contact my Realtor Mark Warner to see the house. 19. 10/16/10 6:18pm Just driving home from my dad's house in Hilliard to Grove City. Newer (2005?) Dark grey/silver F150, plate# DM56MP White male I am on 270 southbound (westside columbus). I am in the leftist lane. F150 was tailgating me as I was passing semi truck going over Broad St overpass. Before I could complete my lane change to the middle lane after overtaking the semi, the F150 swerved and proceeded to pass me on the right. I could tell he was swerving as he was beside me, and I saw he was moving into my lane. I was forced off the road into the burm/grass/gravel. I had to heavy brake. The left side of his truck struck/dented/scraped my passenger side fender. He proceeded to continue and did not pull over. I continued to approach him to get his license plate number, but I did not feel safe following him as I had my wife and child in the car. I immediately contacted the police to report the dangerous driver. After many calls between Columbus Police and Franklin County Sheriff, we determined it was Franklin County Sheriff. On Monday I will go to the Sheriffs office on Frebis near Alum Creek to work with the Accident investigation group. I received word that the Grove City Police visited him and noted the damage to his truck. He apparently denied it and said that was damage he had for awhile or something. I'd like to go get pictures myself before he has time to conceal it. I do not feel comfortable at this point. If anyone lives near him, please take pics: Todd Ruble 2354 Suffolk Ln Grove City, oh It appears we have multiple reports of this guy, and it appears we will have other witnesses besides my wife. I am very thankful as this could have been much worse. If anyone happened to see this or knows someone that saw it, please PM me. Any other advise greatly appreciated too. Thanks!
