My Nephew has a '12 GTR, Midpipe and tune by Topspeed. He drove to the track (with race gas) and ran 10.4 @ 133. Not many cars can go mid 10's on a non race prepped road. He has about 590 whp and hooks on the street. Nice car!

Congrats. I don't think a smarter car has been made for <$100k. If I was you (and if it was legal, of course) I'd take all those Chevy's and Ford's money. Race them from a dig to 100mph on the street. I don't think a Chevy or Ford can hang with it on the street from a dig or maybe a 20 roll. The car is tough...especially with a midpipe and a tune.

With better shifting and break boosting, that car should fly.

 

Easy guys.... I braked boosted on the last run and I'm not going to speed shift 750 whp on a stock rear end and axles. I'm living on borrowed time as most people blow up the stock rear end at much lower hp. I remember the other runs starting at about 40 mph. I started in 3rd gear cause 2nd blows the tires off.

That GTR is fast...it is my Nephews. He ran a 10.4 @133.

Slow is a relative term. I made 630whp and I'll be an average car there. I'll try to give you a call so I can met you. Friday night would be a good time to meet at the gathering.

I'll have to talk to Alex and see if he knows the plan yet, but last year we met up with another group in Mississippi if you guys want to meet there too I'll pm you my number. I don't know if you're catching rt 10 by then?

Hey Joe, good to hear from you. She is not a garage queen and I plan to put some miles on her this year. In fact I am moving to Georgia in March and I can drive year-round there. My nephew will be there in his GTR and I'm sure we'll get some good Go-Pro vids. Take care.

We plan to leave Montgomery Al., at 7 am on Wednesday. It should be a 10-11 hr trip. We are going to the road course to spectate on Thursday, do the other events as well and plan to be out each night.

I am going. I'm not on this forum often as I live about 2 hrs SE of Columbus. I will be traveling over from Alabama. I have a Silver FD with a 3 rotor swap. My tag says "3 ROTOR". If you see my car, please introduce yourself.

That is great. I'm making a few mods to my car to hopefully be mid 10's or better. I won the Forced Induction Sport class in August....admittedly not as strong a class as it has been in the past. I'm about 2 hrs away and don't get to Trails but 1-2 times per year. This will be a good excuse to get there.

This car has a 12,000 12 month limited warranty on the engine. Don't find these cars in this good of shape with a warranty on the engine very often.

Car is in great shape. I would say 8-9 out of 10 on interior and exterior. Tan leather interior. 84k miles on car. Engine recently rebuilt by RX7 Store with 3 mm seals. Still trying to get the miles on the engine for break in. All stock except for metal AST and downpipe. Both done for reliability. Rarely do you find a stock, 3rd gen RX7 in this good of shape. Priced to sell at $12,500. PM me if you need additional pics.

Stock except for reliability mods: down pipe and metal AST. I'm still trying to get the engine broke in as it was rebuilt by the RX7 store with 3 mm seals. Car has 84k miles. Interior and exterior are 8-9 on scale of 10. Asking $13,500

I'm planning to go to the SpeedforSale shootout in Birmingham in October. It is all Supra/RX7/300Zx and GTR cars...1 day is a track day at Little Talladega, one day drag strip, car show and portable dyno stuff. You should think about it.
