I went a different route for a more reliable fast RX7 and swapped a 3 rotor in it. It makes great HP at relatively low boost, sounds great and unique. It is a little more expensive than the ls swap you are talking about, but I wanted to stick with a rotary. I'll be on vacation on 6/20 but was planning to to to Nelson on 6/27. I friend w/ a late '80's turbo 911 is coming with me.I would love to ride with the other rx7's but just can't make 6/20. Good luck with the LS swap...as with any swap there are always lots of little bugs to shake. I'm still try to shake a few.

I think I remember seeing your car (if it is the blue sti in the sig) and I was impressed. The only supra's I've seen at the events had stock twins...no disgrace...I love supra's... but I just figured there would be some 9 sec "street" cars there.

I've been to the last few import faceoffs at trails and if I recall a low 11's won it last year. Maybe I just don't remember cause I know Slo-motion has some fast Honda's. I imagine there are some really fast imports but I don't see them at the trails.I just talked to someone that was at the faceoff in Birmingham Al. and there were 3 cars in the mid 9's in the RWD class. There were 2500 people in the Al meet. I think he said a 10.8 FD didn't even qualify. I was just curious. I figured there would be tons of cars at Trails. What's up?

I had a '93 5 speed with a BL67. It was stock internal with a thicker head gasket to handle the boost. I think it made 550whp. The Lexus tranny did let go 1 time. It was a blast to drive. It was a real sleeper. The only clues were the supra wheels and the front mount....until you hit boost and the wastegate exhaust was really loud. Good luck with your build!

Mike, How much do you want for them? I'll be at the RX7 store tomorrow afternoon. I asked about Zavier about your diff and they told me you had sold it. Is it a direct bolt in? What do you think a S4 diff is worth? Yes, the S4 rear end is stronger than the FD's. I have a 3 rotor swap in my FD and I expect the diff to go at some point.

Thanks for the clarification. I don't know 2nd gens too well. I'm looking for a rear end from a S4 for my FD....trying to decide if getting the whole car is worth it just for the rear end.

Would this be considered S4 or S5?

Carl, I hated to see your car on a hauler.....Hope it isn't too much damage. I saw the thread on the botched trip to Norwalk a few weeks ago. GLad I didn't drive 3.5 hrs to a closed track. I know it is a long way off, but have you thought about the Tail of the Dragon in the spring???? I still need my 10 psi tune checked but I'll be ready by then.

I am trying to buy several Nissan Skyline's ('92 - 11k, '90-31k,'97-89k, several others) a '92 Pulsar GTI-R, '97 180SX, and '93 Silvia. They were impounded in Atlanta and now being auctioned this Thursday. I saw them several weeks ago and thought they were going to be crushed but apparently not. They are all right hand drive. There is possibly a right hand drive RX-7 in rough shape. Anybody interested? I would need to know by Wednesday. I wouldn't ask for any money upfront, just trying to gauge interest before I invest $ in these cars. Bobby

The cop that pulled me over last week for tinted windows (I couldn't believe it) told me the same thing as punkrocker just stated. Just a few months ago, I had the darker stuff removed and this lighter tint installed. He must have felt a bit sorry for me and didn't ticket me. He also asked about not having a front plate...no ticket or written warning for either. I think he was expecting to see a young punk when he turned around to get me...instead got a 40+ year old guy in business clothes. Some of them are looking though...I was in Ohio at the WV border.

I have a '95 SC300 NA-t that I'd sell. I want 15k which sounds like that is more than you want to spend. I think it makes 450-500 rwhp. I think it is a neat car...a real sleeper except for the huge FMIC, supra wheels and front brakes.
