  1. Now they can only by a new Ferrari every other month. Must be a terrible life.
  2. They are already getting rid of Saturn, Saab, and Hummer. I agree with you in that GMC could probably use the boot too, but I still think that dumping Pontiac is what needed to be done. Not "everyone" wants a Trans-Am, contrary to popular belief on this forum. Pontiac wasn't good enough to be the niche brand they should have been, instead they just rebadged some Chevy shit and brought in the G8 and Solstice. If they can save those two cars and introduce them into the Chevy line-up, then there is really no reason for Pontiac to exist anymore.
  3. I might suggest taking some new ones then, pictures like that don't really help your sale as much as you think.
  4. These are both very good things. Drinking a Mr. Pibb right now because we don't have the real stuff (Dr. Pepper) at work.
  5. Not sure, but I thought Buick was doing well in China so they may keep it around for that reason. As far as GMC I don't really know, seems like they could just keep their trucks down to Chevy only.
  6. Completely agree with this, I hate when people argue "well it's been around for 100 years I can't believe they would do away with it now." If it's not working, try something else instead of leaving it exist for history's sake.
  7. That's what I thought until my car got broken in while parked behind my old house on Frambes. It's only visible if you're in that alley between Lane and Frambes so the thieves have less chance of being seen. They smashed my window in but couldn't get the CD player (superglue FTW) so they just took my knife and bolted, but they did get my roommates subs and amp from his Explorer. At least having your car on the street makes it a little more visible, more chance of having a cop or a witness see the crime take place. At my new place my car is parked right off a busy alleyway (if you're off campus you probably know) and so far no problems. Then again the CD player is like 10 years old and I have nothing else of value in the car either .
  8. You don't have to smoke it to use it.
  9. Same thing my parents told me. That's fine, but for most people the physical withdrawal symptoms of nicotine are way worse than the mental cravings after quitting pot. When I had to stop smoking pot for a few months (job interviews, etc) it was honestly a breeze. When I tried quitting cigarettes, which has been 3 times now, the most I've made it was 4 months. All it takes is one really stressful event in your life to finally cave in and buy a pack.
  10. These days it seems like parents are more worried about kids using tobacco than marijuana. Even they know that one is a lot easier to stop doing. I saw a flyer today at OSU for "Bingo for Bongs" or something like that on 4/20, I think it's even being held in a campus building.
  11. If your child has red eyes, THEY MUST BE STONED. Allergies and being tired are surely just excuses .
  12. I like the breaded chicken patties from Giant Eagle, microwave those bitches for a minute or two, put on two pieces of wheat toast with Frank's Xtra Hot and some of that arizona heat mustard, it's a sandwich from heaven. And of course Cane's is amazing, I try to limit my trips there to once or twice a month though because I feel like dying after I eat it.
  13. We watched a similar one in my high school's planetarium, but it was a constant zoom out from Earth. Either way it is still mindblowing.
  14. I actually really like the first one on the list there, the swedish rhapsody. The little ice cream truck tune they play is just freaky as hell to me. Sounds straight out of a horror movie. These are also awesome to make prank calls with .
  15. Anyone on here like to listen to this stuff? They are shortwave radio transmissions supposedly used by governments all over the world (although none will admit it). The thought that there were, and maybe still are, one-time coded messages going out to undercover spies by unknown agencies is a pretty cool thing in a time where radio broadcasts are not very popular. More reading: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numbers_station You can also listen to 4 cd's worth of these broadcasts here: http://www.archive.org/details/ird059 A lot of them are repetitive tones, sets of numbers, etc. They would run a simple beep around the clock so that whoever the message was intended for could tune in, and then at a predetermined time they would send out the code. Freaky stuff when you start to think about what kind of information is going through these frequencies.

Only other car I've had besides the Miata was a 92 Cherokee Laredo, no airbags, barely any brakes and the driver seat was very loosely connected to the floor. But nothing could beat it in for winters in the snow belt, and it was fun to take off road every once in a while.
  17. Finishing up my junior year at OSU, working on a degree in Sociology. Might stick around and grab a minor in Criminology depending on how the job market is when I graduate. Hope to become a high school teacher, but have recently considered doing some social work for a few years and getting certified to teach later.
  18. And until you learn that common courtesy people will continue to ride your ass all over the highway because you can't just move over and let them be on their way. You're not a cop (right?) so let the police take care of punishing people for speeding.
  19. It's definitely a show that I'm sure a lot of people hate, but it's all based on word play. The problem is trying to process each little joke because they try to stuff a half hour show into a 10 minute slow and it's just too much. I go back and watch them a couple more times usually. I had no clue so many people on here watched this stuff, I always figured I just liked it because I have weird tastes.
  20. http://www.avclub.com/articles/vernon-chatman-and-john-lee-of-xavier-renegade-ang,23741/1/?utm_source=pager An interview with the guys from the production group that also makes Delocated and made Wondershowzen back in the day. Reading this helped me understand Xavier a lot, the guys who write that stuff are just as weird in real life too.
  21. Darkplace is a good one, almost all of the BBC shows that Adult Swim buys are hilarious. I'm really happy that they started running the Mighty Boosh now, that show is the perfect example of how weird British humor is.
  22. Delocated is probably my favorite show on Adult Swim next to Tim and Eric Awesome Show and Xavier. They've got a pretty good line up of shows right now.
  23. Funniest part was walking around campus at 11 this morning, people were all over walking with their laptops open trying to buy tickets on their way to class. Couldn't help but laugh seeing as how I gave my password to my roommate and he ordered them after noon with no problems.
