  1. Vanderbilt backed out of the home opener vs OSU next year according to reports today. Braxton is just an OK qb, he is an AMAZING athlete, sorry I call it how I see it. Dude still doesnt throw the best passes, makes sophmore mistakes. He gets by on his athletic ability alone 90% of the time, which by all means is fine not only for a team which really has nothing to lose this year and a college player. Doesn't usually transition well to NFL, hello Pat White! BTW I think I have been less critical on Braxton this year than I was last year, sorry you can't get over the past haha. Someone posted this in regards to the LB issues OSU is having right now: 2009: Dorian Bell (Transfer) Jordan Whiting (Transfer) Storm Klein (Suspended 2 games, missed most of fall camp and is dinged up a bit) 2010: Scott McVey (Physically unable to play) David Durham (Transfered) Jamel Turner (Didn't make it to school) 2011: Curtis Grant (Light hasnt come on yet) Ryan Shazier (Dinged Up) Connor Crowell (Backup) 2012: Camren Williams (backup) David Perkins (backup) Luke Roberts (backup) Jamal Marcus (backup) Josh Perry Add to that list, Sabino who is injured. Throw in Ejuan Price who decommited from OSU, Jordan Hicks who chose Texas over OSU and Trey Depreist who chose Alabama over OSU. Both of whom were from Ohio, Depreist was supposedly Braxtons best friend from what I read during his recruitment. Its really no suprise OSU is in trouble right now.
  2. Have a zoom feature yet? If not who cares. I got the hero 2 and honestly hardly use it. Sound quality sucks no matter which backing i put on it.
  3. Take $20? I'll come get it tomorrow night, it'll be donated to a kid come Christmas time as me and some buddies do a toy drive here in Newark.
  4. I think its funny what he said about Desmond aside from the dying part. I can't stand either of them but really dislike Desmond Howard. I dont see the 4 super conferences happening. I think expansion has run its course, not that I dont think teams will move conferences, I just dont think it'll come down to 4 super conferences. Too much $$$ involved for schools to agree to share it with 15 others or whatever the conferences would end up being Award for coolest uniform this season goes to Boise St: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr-saturday/boise-state-wins-award-best-black-helmet-photos-162103743--ncaaf.html
  5. Yes exactly. You do all the conference champions since they have eared it and then do wild card spots to teams like ND, Boise St or a 1 loss 2nd place team like say Alabama last year or Michigan in 06. They could do 10 teams while keeping the 4 major bowl games in tact, hell actually it would add a couple more with semi finals and then the final game. 1/4 final games: Rose Sugar Fiesta Orange Semi Finals: Cotton Bowl Game in Indiana at Lucas Stadium National Championship game could rotate to one of the 6 previously mentioned locations or somewhere completely new. Thats an 8 team setup obviously but could work with more teams too
  6. Lmfao I am done watching videos, I don't think that OSU team would've beaten Florida State. They might have held their own against Tennesee but damn FSU was pretty beasty that year with Peter Warrick. 4 team isn't fine, its too small of a grouping. Look at every other sort of playoff, none of them are 4 team playoffs. Baseball was but they just added extra teams, so now its 10 teams fighting to win the WS. 8 is ok, but really 10 is much better. Pac 12 Big 12 Big 10 ACC SEC Big East That right there is 6 conferences, so 2 conference champions are left out instantly, then you throw in the independants like ND or teams like Boise when they are 13-0 and you have an issue. Not to mention leaving out a lot of 1 loss teams who werent their conference champion. Again its a flawed setup but a step in the right direction if a playoff is what you want to see.
  7. They are all ugly as shit imo. Orange skin just doesn't do it for me
  8. The same 98 OSU team that lost to Michigan St at home?!! I remember that year as I felt at the time it was the best OSU team I had ever saw. Especially the defense, the back 7 they had was insane. The db unit was arguabley the best ever fielded at OSU plus they had some guy clogging the middle named Andy Katzenmoyer. Granted I was 13 going on 14 haha. Thats the same year Tennesee was undefeated and played a loaded Florida St team. So yes I would venture to say they got it right that year. 2008 USC lost to Oregon St, a typical game they should've won but always seemed to lose during that era haha. They could argue that they were better than Florida who also lost a gimme game that year, however Florida proceeded to go to the championship game and beat undefeated Oklahoma. Now if you want to talk about maybe 1 year where they got it wrong is the year Auburn was left out. Edit: Damn you Tilley, now I am searching youtube for videos of that 98 team. God they really were loaded with talent on both sides of the ball. I still remember Dee Miller slipping on his break and the ball just falling incomplete.
  9. I think its going to be Alabama/Oregon or Alabama/Oklahoma with Alabama claiming yet another damn title. If they win 3 in 4 years they will have be to looked at as one of the best dynasty's ever
  10. Top 8 is ok but you will still have a 9 and 10 team bitching cause they have the same record as the #8 team. I think it should be conference champions and then 2 or 4 wild cards. Its a step in the right direction, although I don't feel the BCS has gotten it wrong really, I feel that the best team has won the championship every year. No matter what format they go with there will still be someone bitching that they didnt get their chance.
  11. Well that already happened...sort of. Next year the 4 team playoff starts which I still think is going to be a disaster as there will be a lot of teams bitching that they deserve to be 1 of the 4.
  12. The SEC is gonna be interesting, you have 6 teams right now in contention for be in the conference championship game: East: 6-0 Florida 6-1 South Carolina 5-1 UGA West: 6-0 Alabama 6-0 Mississippi St (WTF) 6-1 LSU Most of these teams still play one another, starting this weekend where Florida/South Carolina face off. If UGA can beat Florida then they have the best chance of running the table in the East. Florida has key games against: South Carolina, UGA, Missiouri and Florida St South Carolina has: Florida and Clemson UGA has: Florida In the West you have Alabama, LSU and Mississippi St as I mentioned. Alabama has: Mississippi St, LSU, Texas A&M LSU has: Alabama, Texas A&M and Mississippi St Mississippi St has: Bama, LSU and Texas A&M I think Bama comes out of that 2-1 LSU: 3-0 Missippi St: 1-2 at best (win against A&M) Florida: 2-2 S. Carolina: 2-0 UGA: 0-1 That would give you a South Carolina vs LSU rematch in the conference game. LSU wins that, Bama doesnt drop too far due to barely losing to LSU and other teams in front of them losing, Kansas St and Notre Dame, setting up the SEC vs SEC National Championship game part deux as Tilley mentioned. A team that could get right back into the mix should they 1. Win out and 2. All teams ahead of them lose is Oklahoma
  13. I'm not saying they are being hated on, hell I think Urban being here has helped people forget about the last 2 years of OSU football. I think that if Fickell or someone else was coaching here right now we'd still be hearing about it, I also don't think that this 7-0 team would be in the top 10. Hell I thought for sure OSU was going to drop a few spots after Saturday nights performance in Bloomington.
  14. They are a 7-0 team who's marquee victory is over 4-2 Nebraska who in their own right haven't beat anybody. How we are ahead of Oregon St is beyond me, Oregon St has beaten, #13 Wisconsin and #19 UCLA while playing in arguably a tougher conference. I still stand behind my statement of OSU no longer being hated on because of Urban, you don't think that is true? I highly doubt OSU would've had a pre-season series on espn like they did this year if anyone not named Urban Meyer was the coach.
  15. Was at a Browns/Steelers games a few years back. It was a sunday night NBC game and windy as shit. Sitting there watching the browns get beat (go figure), I saw something land in front of me out of corner of my eye. I look down theres a $100 bill. I waited on someone to come claim it but they never did. So me and my buddy went to the Velvet Dog and got drunk with it
  16. Haha just stupid, thats all I can come up with to describe the car
  17. Whats even stranger is I actually had 2 people agree with a post of mine, wtf?!!
  18. Well of course man, SEC is god like! I was watching ESPN yesterday and they said outside of OSU no big 10 team really deserves to be in the top 25 and that at seasons end there might only be OSU in the top 25. The big10 is bad this year as a whole honestly. I think the Pac12 is a little under rated and the Big12 is over rated. I think whats helping OSU right now is the fact that ESPN and most media outlets like Urban Meyer. If Tress or Fickell were coaching this current team, no way in hell is OSU in the top 10. Hell after last nights game they would've dropped several spots.
  19. Why does everyone say Fickell calls the defense? Everything I have read says Withers is the one calling the plays. Just curious as to why that guy gets no heat, yet Fickell and even Vrabel are having their heads called for. Trying to see it from the other perspective I guess, because I believe Withers who is also assistant head coach is equally to blame for the way this defense is playing. Also since everyone is being called out to get fired, can we fire the WR coach? He apparently can't coach as his WR's have dropped passes all year long haha. Honestly I would not be that upset if this team lost a game, in fact it may be a good thing going into next year where shit really counts with a little chip on their shoulder. I fear if they go 12-0 they will come into next season thinking they are just gonna run the table, which they very well could but I would rather have a team that plays with a little chip rather then one that thinks they just have to show up in order to win.
  20. Week 8 has some decent matchups: South Carolina vs Florida LSU vs Texas A&M Kansas St vs West Virginia
  21. BTW Tilley, I think we may be headed for a SEC vs SEC rematch part 2 in the NCG. If LSU can somehow beat Alabama, I think we will see both teams in the NCG. I dont see any other team going undefeated with the exception of maybe Oregon but I still think they slip up at some point this season unfortunately.
