The defenses were pretty decent during the Troy Smith era except 2004, but 05 and 06 were no joke. Look at some of the guys that played on those teams and players who were on them. 05: 14.4ppg given up by the D (10-2) 06: 12.5ppg (12-1) you take away 39 to michigan and 41 to Florida and that D was insane 07: 12.2ppg (11-2) take away the 38 to LSU in NC and again defense was insane 08: 10.6 (10-3) 09: 11.6ppg (11-2) 10: 13.3ppg (12-1) 11: 21.7ppg (6-6) 12: 23.1ppg (7-0) Gotten progressively worse since 2008 lol I just think this and last years defense are really that bad. The spread excuse is being tossed out a lot and at first I was like ok I might give you that one, but the more I watch this team, the more I have come to the conclusion that they are really just bad.

I am just baffeled by the lack of push the D line has gotten most of this season. Sure theres been moments or a game here and there where Simon and Hankins go off, but tonight you heard nothing from either of them. The only time I heard Hankins name was when he got the personal foul call on him late in the game. The lack of solid d-line play is affecting the linebackers which in return affects the secondary. I truely believe that the talent we all thought was there, just simply isnt. I mean outside of Hankins and Roby no one on this team has played like a future NFL player. If anyone says John Simon I will say Mike Kudla. He is a tweener unfortunately, I love the way Simon plays but he is going to have a hard time finding a spot in the NFL unless he can magically play LB or something in a 3-4 style. Shazier has a ton of tackles but thats to be expected from a linebacker, he hasn't done anything that makes you stop and say "oh damn that dudes a beast" The offense has pleasantly suprised me while the defense has taken huge steps backwards, thank god this season is basically a dress rehearsal for next year and 2014

Haha the scout board is on meltdown, fire Fickell, fire Urban, hire the fired pizza boy, Curtis Grant sucks, fire anyone associated with OSU. I love when OSU wins close and people go ape shit. I do agree that the defense is terrible and probablly one of the worst if not the worst I have ever seen and that includes last years shitty d. While it wasn't pretty by any means of the word, it is a win

I think Stanford just got homered folks, good game none the less. Just wanted to see another top 10 team lose. I do like Tao though for ND, kids a beast, plus recently read an article where both his GF and Grandma died in back to back days

I dont see ND beating USC and Oklahoma though. Their schedule this year is pretty nuts, just imagine if they had this years defense with the offense of Claussen, Tate and Floyd. That'd be a legit contender for sure. Haha yeah the LSU/SC game could be a very low scoring game, the twist by the media will be "two powerhouse defenses in a slugfest" Wow I can't believe they didnt cross the goal line right there.

Taylor for Stanford is a beast

The ND/Stanford game has been a pretty good game. I stopped really watching the WVU game when it was 42-7. I am axnious to see the South Carolina/LSU game coming up shortly

RG3 had amazing numbers, 4200+ yards throwing, 700 rushing and 47 TD's and also knocked off the #5 team in the country along with a couple other top 20 teams. I'm not saying its impossible but its usually the QB/RB from the best team unless he puts up stupid numbers ala Tebow. Geno is just now getting to the meat of their schedule, they still have #6 Kansas St and #13 Oklahoma (will be ranked higher by then) along with TCU. If WVU loses 1 or 2 of those games then I don't see him winning. I am not saying he isn't the favorite still, just saying that a loss might close the gap. If he finishes with close to 4k yards passing and 40+ TD's its gonna be pretty hard to not award him the Heisman.

He isn't having a great game now that I look at his stats, he is 19/34 with 175 yards 1TD. Now look at Techs qb stats lol, 21/30 336 yards and 4td's. You are right though WVU can score with quickness, but it's the defense that has me thinking this is upset city. Another game to keep an eye on is #10 Oregon State vs BYU, tied up 14 all right now

Don't look now but #5 West Virginia is down 35-7 at the half. If WVU loses does this mean Geno's Heisman run is essentially done as well?

I love this type of shit, I would be interested in visiting Doc's house. We just moved out of a house that I believe to be haunted. Like many I am not a real big believer of ghost and all that but we had freaky shit happening all the time. For instance, my wife was about 5-6 months pregnant and we was laying in bed one night, we hear running up the stairs and instantly look at each other with a wtf was that look. I tell her, it was probablly the dog, which seemed like a logical answer...until she reminded me that the dog was laying on the floor next to her. So I go check to see what it was and theres nothing there. Went through out the house checking to see if maybe someone had broken in and nope nothing. Second time I was in the basement changing laundry and heard footsteps above me like someone was walking fast. I thought I was hearing stuff but again our dog was there with me an he had his head cocked and looking up so I know he heard it too. Went upstairs thinking maybe my dad or brother in law had stopped by only to find the house empty. Lastly our son would absolutely not sleep in his bedroom. I am talking you'd put him in there while he was asleep and 5-10mins later he'd be up there screaming. Not just normal screaming but sweating and looking absolutely petrified. I can't really blame him for not liking the room, every time I walked by it I got this feeling like someone was about to jump out at me. Nothing like being 6'6 280 and feeling like a pussy due to something you can't see haha. So far in our new house nothing strange has occured and our son sleeps great in his new room.

I just came to post this as well, that is the hot rumor coming from some reliable insiders apparently. He was a monster at LB in highschool, look up his stats if you can find them. Does this mean Klein is moving over to Sabino's spot? Just shows the lack of depth at LB and that kids like Trey Dupreist and the kid who went to Texas (cant think of name right this second) are coming back to bite us in the ass. The more I think about this the less it makes sense....OSU runs a nickel most the time, Klein and Shazier will be the linebackers. Storm is the stating MLB isn't he? Also I have thought Grant/Perry played decently in the limited action they have gotten. Either they must really suck or Boren has shown the coaches something that he hasn't in 3 1/2 years this week lol. Bored and was looking for stats on Boren and found something that I found interesting, "The Buckeyes now have four linebackers in their class. Boren joins Jordan Whiting". 2 of those 4 aren't even here anymore, Boren was moved to Fb and Klein has under performed for the most part. Its amazing how on paper a class or position can look loaded only to look back years later and wonder wtf happened.

Good deal, we appriciate it. Last year we had 60* weather, hopefully we can get that lucky again this year.

Thankfully my facebook status feed will now no longer be filled with Reds fans who have just recently become fans apparently. I swear all summer long I went without hearing about any baseball except for my 1 buddy who is a legit fan, then they make the playoffs and suddenly they come crawling out of the woodwork.
